Great Product, Could be more durable but great customer service!
EDIT: They replaced it for free despite it being out of warranty! Contacted me promptly, very pleased with their customer service.Waiting for SwitchEasy Amazon to contact me, but I’m disappointed that the case becomes completely useless if one of the metal contacts falls out, which happened to me randomly. Otherwise, this is the best case for those using a Magic Keyboard. Will change my rating once I’ve been able to reach someone, as it doesn’t seem there’s a customer service messaging option.

Great Alternative to Apple’s Product
I love Apple products and accessories, they just work! But, in the case of my new IPad Pro 4th generation, Apple’s keyboard/trackpad didn’t measure up to the demands of frequent travel and particularly for its lack of a secure place to stow the Apple Pencil. I was skeptical of the quality and functionality of this product due to its low price. I was skeptical of its ability to securely grip the IPad on the keyboard magnetically, particularly due to the additional protective case around the IPad when its used by itself away from the keyboard. Bottom line: The keyboard, the track pad and the magnetic connection, the separate IPad protection, all perform excellently as designed, and under the rigor of frequent travel. The keyboard case offers solid protection in and out of a soft-sided briefcase. And, the case provides a secure protective slot for the Apple Pencil, while allowing it to remain charged. The case does add significant weight to the IPad, but not greater than carrying a laptop. The case does not require independent charging. The case uses the IPad for power. The keyboard backlight can be turned on/off and adjusted easily. One can charge the IPad normally, or through a USB-C pass-through on the keyboard itself, allowing charging and usage of a USB-C accessory simultaneously. A terrific product at a surprisingly low price. Addendum: After using this product for almost a year--daily use, lots of bumping and tossing into luggage and briefcase--it still performs magnificently. I detect no difference in the keyboard despite the heavy use. The case is still perfect. I love the ability to separate the IPad and then reattach it. It disconnects and reconnects flawlessly.

Way too expensive for a flimsy piece of plastic
The idea of the coverbuddy is great. I used this product for a few months with my ipad. It's a great way to secure your pen. However, soon after having it, the small piece of plastic closest to the volume button started to warp. That area is extremely flimsy, yet it's one of the most handled spots on the ipad, considering it's where your volume button sit. Secondly, the golden connectors that allow your ipad to connect to your magic keyboard are not durable. The middle connector fell off of my cover, and for the longest time, I thought my magic keyboard stopped working. It wasn't until I got a hold of another keyboard that I realized it was a broken cover buddy that caused the issue. Odd since the cover buddy is almost always inside of my magic keyboard case. I wouldn't have been too upset if this case cost the $15 that it's worth, but when you pay $70 for it, you kind of expect it to be a little more durable.

Not as cheap as it looks
This honestly surprised me for how decent the strength is for being plastic. It is very thin and very easy use of the magnets. It’s also very good at holding my apple pen, it has only fallen out once after daily use over the last year. If you’re in the market for a little more protection for your iPad Pro and want to leave the pen with it, I HIGHLY recommend this!

This is the best iPad cover case you can get compatible with the magic keyboard
I think this is the best iPad case you can get that is compatible for the magic keyboard. There are literally only two cases in all of Amazon that are compatible with the magic keyboard. The cases are this one and the other one is the Pitaka brand one, which is $10 extra. That case had better reviews (but way less reviews than SwitchEasy CoverBuddy, I don't know if that matters), but I read from multiple reviews that if you had a glass screen protector it wouldn't close, which my 11 inch iPad Pro has. On the contrary, the SwitchEasy did have multiple reviews stating that it does close with a glass screen protector, so I decided to go for it. It closes very good. The only problem I see is that it feels kind of flimsy. So for users that need to use their iPads extensively, this might become an issue in the future, because it might not last long. Also the left side of the case is not covered/protected, and I guess it needs to be that way so it can close with the magic keyboard. If you need a very sturdy case, I recommend staying away from this one and probably look for one that it can be detached easily so you can put your bare iPad on the magic keyboard. In conclusion, this case only works for you if you need it to be compatible with your magic keyboard, and you occasionally need to hold in your hands to take advantage of the iPad's table capabilities. The case's magnets are also very strong and hold you iPad to your keyboard the same way the iPad magnets do. Even though is very expensive, this is the best there is. I wish someone can make a better one, but I don't know if that's possible taking in mind how thin that case has to be so it can close with the magic keyboard.

This is the IPad accessory I needed to make the Magic Keyboard truly magic
I know this is day one of ownership and I can’t speak to durability yet. It fits my current generation iPad Pro perfectly and provides a nice removable protective shell albeit leaving the side that needs to fit perfectly in the Magic Keyboard (which it does) unprotected. I still think it’s the best solution though the price is ridiculously expensive for what it is. Taking advantage of the fact that we want to protect our expensive tablets. I would definitely recommend it to my friends as the current best solution. I know $70 is silly but it works. Just buy it you won’t be disappointed, maybe ripped off a little but it works PERFECTLY!
