This is the perfect size bag for my countertop food waste pan. These are up for the challenge and why are they challenged in my house. it handles an entire week for the food garbage and stays intact (the only exception of that so far would be watermelon rinds which was not really a fair fight LOL the pieces were just too large).I live in California and here it is law now that we have to recycle. I started using the compostable bags so that it made it easier to get the food garbage out of the house and into the food recycle bin which also helps to keep the inside of the large recycle bin cleaner.They are a great value for the money, I only use one a week most weeks and my garbage company accepts them because they are compostable.

Great environment friendly product

These bags are lightly colored and transparent (with a tint); they have no markings on the bag, unlike most such bags, which had me checking make sure that they were biodegradable (yes, according to the company). They seem like they would be flimsy and might leak, but they seem to be strong enough and don't have the damp, almost dripping feel of many biodegradable bags. I rated them a 4 instead of 5 simply because I still wasn't totally convinced that these really were biodegradable. They do function well, however.

Not as big as described.

We go through a LOT of bathroom garbage bags, mostly from cleaning the cat litter box. These bio-degradable bags help me feel OK about that. I have a larger size (8 gallon) for kitchen, and love those also. Feels/acts like plastic, but unlike plastic, these WILL break down over time. I have had zero instance of it weakening during use.

My favorite compostable bags, other brands that I have purchased are so flimsy that I put holes in them just taking them out of the box to use. These are a nice size and hold up until they make it to the compost bin.

I’m impressed with the durability of these. I thought maybe they’d rip easily, but they don’t. I don’t put super heavy things in them, but some compostable bags rip just while you’re trying to tear one off.I also love the color! They just happen to match my bathroom perfectly.
