Great soft shell
!Attention! Summit/ Summit Zero differencesFirst off, don't make the mistake I made. If you're looking for a coat to wear in colder climate conditions, you're probably looking for the Condor Summit, as the Summit has the fleece lining and I believe reinforced elbows/arms. If you're wanting something a little lighter, the Condor Summit Zero will work for you.I was wanting a shell for the harsh Alaska winters. I made the mistake of ordering the Summit Zero. However, I have still fallen in love with this coat and it serves it's purpose well keeping me warm and dry during the low summer Temps. To be honest, it does well below freezing as well if you use layers under this coat.Sizing:Sizing runs a little smaller than expected. I am 6ft and 185lbs. I would usually wear a large, however, after trying on my buddies Summit, I ordered an XL and don't regret it one bit. The XL fit my taller build. Most of my issues when deciding on coats is either a XL is to bulky in the chest/waist yet the arm length fits well, or a Large fits my body, but the arm length is to short. If you are taller, longer arms, go a size bigger. You won't regret it.This coat is light wait, has plenty of pockets for any and all needs. Something to note, the chest pockets are large enough to fit a small pistol(in my case, a Ruger LC9 and 9mm shield). Has great hood tension adjustments to pull your hood back and give you better peripheral vision, as well as great internal neck stow away with zipper. A total of 8 pockets, 2 pockets on biceps(also moral patch velcro here), 2 larger pockets on chest, 2 pockets internal chest, 1 pocket on the left forearm, 1 "game" pocket on rear with two entries from either side. Quality of stitching is great.Overall, this is a great "medium" weather shell, and a favorite of mine. As mentioned, if you layer under this, it will perform as well as the Summit.

Fantastic Shell
As a Ski Patroller, I needed a new shell that would allow me to wear a variety of layers underneath as dictated by conditions and this doesn’t disappoint. It has absolutely no insulation so don’t think of this as a single jacket for cold weather. It’s a shell and it does that job remarkably well for the price point. It sheds moisture, the fit and range of motion while wearing it is excellent, the packets are of good size and well placed and the Velcro is handy for attaching patches, etc. I found the hood to be just slightly undersized for my ski helmet but it didn’t bother me.I wear a vest over this shell which contains all my medical gear and it didn’t have any affect on this shell at all. No chaffing, no change in water repellency and no discomfort.I will definitely buy this shell again and would highly recommend.

Initial Review for Condor Zero Men's Lightweight Soft Shell Jacket.
Great jacket for the price. Have only used a few times, and have not tested it in severe rain yet to see how rainproof it is, but it is a great light jacket and works great for out of doors adventures. The pockets are great, the zipper is great, Velcro in the right places and not too much Velcro. The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is because I prefer a hood that I can zip off or remove in addition to being able to tuck it in. Mostly because I never wear hoods and so would remove it about 90 percent of the time. Because of the hood the collar is a little stiff. Not a deal breaker, just personal preference. Would recommend to someone who is looking for a light out of door jacket to be in the elements with. Also, the material (like almost all waterproof material) is a little bit crunchy / stiff. Not truly a "Soft Shell" as in just very bendy and flexible. If you expect something that feels like cotton or a soft fabric, this is not that item. It is a little rigid as are many Gore-Tex and other moisture proof, breathable materials. Not awful, just not soft and cuddly if that is what you are looking for. It will probably also soften up with time and use. New out of the box it is a bit more stiff.Size (from my perspective) is true to size. I purchased a large and it fits well. I am no youngster, and am about 6'1" and weight 185 pounds with long arms and legs. The sleeves are long enough even for my long wingspan (35" sleeve), and the torso is fine around the belly. I can put a t-shirt, sweatshirt, and light fleece on underneath the jacket for layers and it still fits okay. I consider myself an average build, I am not cut like a perfect V, and do not have a chest twice the size of my waist size. If you are chubby or have a pear shape body, you will have to order up. This is a slightly tapered cut, not a big baggy jacket like a hoody you might buy, and the fabric is not made to stretch a lot, so if you are used to having stretchy clothes that expand then this will not do that.I would highly recommend for someone who is looking for a good jacket at a reasonable price to be out in the elements with. I have only had it a short period of time, and have not worn it a ton, so I still need to see how it will hold up to rugged outdoor use for an extended period of time.
