Pop Weaver Popcorn Kernels - Weaver Gold 50-lb Bag - Butterfly Style Popping Corn

A 50lb sack was on my doorstep. The bag was filthy and needed to be wiped down and sanitized, there was a faint slice on the top of the bag but the material held up well, similar feel to a sack of animal feed. Filled 6 gallon jars, and a smidge extra.Popped it, absolutely delicious. Large butterfly kernels, very airy, fluffy texture, very few unpopped left over, and minimal shells in the final product. Very very satisfied, will buy again.

This is the second time we’ve ordered this same basic bag of popcorn. The first time it came ripped and taped together. This time it was delivered in a box, but it looks like the shipping company put it in a box. The bag itself was wall taped up and losing kernels.The worst part is that the kernels are full of other plastic and small paper items. Small beads and other non edible items. We can not use it as it is.

This is the best popcorn I've ever eaten! This comes from someone who has been popping stove top popcorn for 60 years. It is truly amazing. It is light, fluffy and so tasty. The best thing about Pop Weaver Gold is it maintains its taste and lightness throughout the whole batch. Most stove top popcorn taste tough and flat. Not Pop Weaver. My total thanks to the folks who grow this wonderful stuff and ship it around the country. I bought the 50-pound bag from C&N Industries a year ago and it's almost time to order another one. I also want to commend a gentleman named Harrison at C&N. He did a great job insuring I got my order last year. I hope he's still on the job when I place my next order.

This product pops fluffy and completely in movie popcorn makers. It tastes delicious and has a wonderful aroma. I highly recommend this.

The plant varieties used for bulk popcorn are bred to withstand harsh harvesting and handling conditions - the idea being a longer calendar harvest window/stronger stalks (like trees), and kernels which resist scratching, cracking, or crushing in massive bins and dryers. Sadly, the result from years of competitive evolution in popcorn growing tastes just like the cellulose which has been heavily bred into it. Before covering up the wood/paper taste with butter and seasonings, simply take some plain kernels aside to taste what you are actually eating.Expansion factor has to do with moisture and drying, WH Inc can be even or poorly done. Consistency varies by brand and where in the dryer the popcorn was stored. Unpopped kernels is a bad sign in general because it reveals poor handling, and is almost never moisture related despite what the industry tells customers.For an experiment in taste and expansion, try a naturally dried popcorn still on the cob which pops in a microwave bag. It will have the least handling and fewer processing defects or damage.Be aware, however, some brands just package their cellulose laden ears as whole cob but the other brands which focus on cob style popcorn typically use varieties bred to be picked as whole ears. These varieties can never be grown by the mega producers due to fragility of the stalks, kernels, etc.Movie theaters rely on coconut oil, butter, and salt to please. Like tomatoes, there are real differences in flavor across the many types and varieties. Be a popcorn gourmet next time you buy. You will never go back.

It’s a big a$$$ bag of popcorn. But it’s the best I’ve ever had. Will 100% buy again. In like 2 years. 😹. The bag was torn. Which I knew was a possibility by other reviews.
