GREAT BEDROLL.
This is now a permanent part of my setup for fire camps. I read other reviews and put a blanket in it; right now there is a heavy wool blanket folded in half and a smaller camp blanket. I never actually had to get into the wool blanket, just slept under the camp blanket. The layer of canvas definitely holds warmth in and also keeps a small blanket from falling off of you. It's pleasantly wide and much more comfortable than a standard sleeping bag. There is a zipper on each side so it's easy to put your blankets in and get in and out of.

Good but not like the pictures
Very soft, not your usual wool. Warm, quality is amazing. They picture they give is not what I got oddly, Grey blanket with red stripes at top and bottom. No large red cross in the middle. Weight is minimal

I'm a bit worried about washing it with leather patches. But otherwise it's really nice. The leather straps are a bit raw. Though really it's just that they should be burnished. They are fully removable is one ever gets damaged or if you hate sleeping with a belt under you. It's a big ish blanket too, about the right width as a twin but loner. Great pairing with a canvas sleeping bag.

this is NOT wool
I don't remember ever seeing sheep surrounded by electrostatic discharges. This, supposedly 100% wool blanket on the other hand, generates those ... sparks.It is not warm either. Why should I keep it? Yes, you got it, back it goes.
