French knitting.
Takes a lot of getting used to, with time it's brilliant. Only draw back, no wire caps to stop wire coming through you work.

Don't buy this
Item doesn't work properly, I doesn't create the cords it advertises due to it being cheaply made the hooks cannot drop the yarn and the weight that is provided isn't heavy enough to work either- avoid this product, trying to reach out to the seller about a return but amazon has no option for that

Good value, works well
Well made wee machine, takes a bit of patience to get it going and trying a few different yarns but with DK it worked really well. Read the instructions or watch YouTube tutorial for the cast on.

Works well as long as the wool is thin
Following the instructions and going slowly, it worked first time. I was very pleased that in a couple of minutes, I’d made a nice, long cord. I tried it again with a different yarn, very slightly thicker than the first, and it kept getting stuck and eventually it fell off some of the hooks. Moral of the story is to use a baby yarn / thing yarn

Difficult to use
Brought this as I thought it would be much quicker then doing French knitting the traditional way. However either I’m doing something wrong or the product was faulty. I could not get it to work. The wool kept getting wrapped around and stuck.Could of been user error as I know others can use them easily.

Wouldn’t even waste your money! Broke on first go! Cheap and needles don’t work correctly! Instructions are not easy to follow! Rubbish and wouldn’t both with this product!

Useless
Waste of money, cheap awful product, wasted ages trying to get it to produce a cord, just kept going round the sides, not through to a cord. Rubbish, latches kept catching and wouldn't stay down, very disappointed as now need to wait buy a proper more expensive one, buy cheap buy twice - don't waste your money
