I actually purchased 2 types of these... this one and one that has a silicone strip around the edge with little silicone nob feet - so it sits above the counter. I like that one the best. This one works. I put it on top of a paper plate so there is air circulating under it - this seems to help. It will hold 2 large hamburger patties - approx 3/8" thick thaw in about 1 hour. HAND WASH ONLY. I do wish we could throw these in the dishwasher due to the raw meat aspect - but you cannot. So I spray with a little antibacterial spray, let it sit a few minutes and then wash with soap and hot water. Not sure about how long they last with careful care. Time will tell, so I always add that I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful!

Worked well. Still have to try it on other meats. Beats using the microwave.

Took 4 hours to defost 1 piece of meat, don’t bother.

I was pretty disappointed with this, the instructions weren’t very good and so maybe I am not doing it correctly, however, the ground beef I placed on the plate barely thawed and I eventually gave up. I will try again and maybe see if I can find instructions to see if I am using this incorrectly

I remembered seeing this plate awhile back and said I was going to see if I could find it. Well distraction happen and I remembered again and bought it, works just like the infomercial claims.

I love this thing!! It’s incredibly practical!
