Super Cool!
These Augmented Reality (AR) dinosaur cards are absolutely awesome. A couple of the reviews said they didn't work well or were difficult to use. It's possible they've improved the app since then, but I found them very easy to use and very reliable. The quality of the models and animations is very high, arguably just a notch or two below Jurassic Park movie quality. The app downloads for free in just a few minutes. The cards come with a serial number to unlock the app, which can be loaded onto a total of three devices. I tested it on an iPhone SE and an iPhone X. If the time comes to get a new device, you can unregister the serial number from the old device and transfer it to the new one.The pack of cards contains 20 prehistoric creatures (not all of them are technically dinosaurs), with the exact list included in the attached photos. All the popular dinos are there, with the exception of Stegosaurus. Once the smartphone (or iPad) camera focuses on the name printed on the card, the creature magically appears on top of the card. I found it works best to lay the card down on a stationary surface, such as a desktop, but the phone can be handheld without any problems. Moving the phone around changes your view of the creature accordingly, and you can also scale it up by touching your thumb and forefinger to the screen. I discovered you can activate multiple creatures simultaneously by carefully arranging the cards so that they're all in focus.Once brought to life, each creature fidgets and moves, in addition to having one or two "actions" which you can activate, such as roaring, walking in place, rearing up on its hind legs, flapping its wings, etc. There's also a "fun fact" which you can bring up on the screen. In addition, the T. rex, Giganotosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Triceratops have two extra modes - Skeleton and Drive. Skeleton toggles the skin and muscles off to reveal just the dinosaur's skeleton going through the motions. Drive mode allows you to make the dino walk in a specified direction, so you can make it leave its card and amble around your desktop.Independent of the cards, the app also comes with Virtual Reality scenes featuring five of the creatures. To be honest, it's a half-hearted effort, with the forest backgrounds being blurry and only the creatures themselves being in sharp focus. The sensor limitations of the smartphone also limit the effectiveness of the virtual reality - you can't, for example, move from one side of the animal to the other; sitting in a swivel chair and tilting your head up and down are the only perspective changes each scene can accommodate. If you don't already own a smartphone virtual reality headset, it's not worth purchasing one just for this. Having said that, my favorite VR scenes were the ones with Triceratops and Giganotosaurus. There's also a combination AR/VR mode which splits the AR card effect into two images, to be used with a virtual reality headset. Here, though, the VR headset has to be one which doesn't block the phone's camera. Since the camera only has one lens, there's no 3D effect - I believe the point is to be able to view the cards and change your viewing perspective "hands-free".There's also a "Holo Mode" which shows the animal simultaneously from the front, back, and both sides. It's meant to be used in conjunction with a device called a HoloPrism, which must be purchased separately. If you plan on showing the dinosaurs to several people at once gathered around the table, this will prove useful. Finally, the app includes a library of the same 20 creatures, with additional information about each, separated into pre-school and 1st-3rd grade learning levels. Also included is a visual size comparison of each animal to an adult human. This last element is fascinating in itself, driving home how big some of these dinos really were.

Crazy cool!
Ridiculously cool. Seriously the dinosaurs are big and detailed and seem to pop right off the cards! It is too fun to be able to move some of them around - but note only some of them have that feature. They roar and do actions and you can pinch your fingers to zoom in on them and make them even larger! It's super fun to read the details on each dinosaur and very helpful to hear their names pronounced lol! My 3 and 5 year old adore them. Very happy with this super fun product!

Grandson is obsessed.
I purchased this card set for my 4 year old grandson who is obsessed with dinosaurs. A simple picture of a dinosaur on a card is literally transformed into a realistic 3 D dinsosaur that can move and makes realistic dinosaur noises. Each card has a tab that will also give you some interesting facts about the dinosaur. There are 4 of the dinosaur cards that will actually "run" around your room by using a feature that allows you to guide them around in different directions. We used ours in the kitchen and the dinosaur literally ran off the counter, onto the cabinets and stove. My grandson kept steering the dino so that we "lost" the dinosaur in the room and then spent some time "searching" for the dinosaur. We learned to keep the dinosaur going in circles to avoid letting him get to far off the screen. I would recommend donwnloading the free app on an IPAD or tablet so that you have a bigger dinosaur to view. I set up the IPAD on a level surface, otherwise it's very difficult to keep the dinosaurs in view, because the image will disappear if the dino card is moved out of the camera's range. I placed a paper plate on the counter for my grandson so he knew exactly where to place the card to make the dinosaur appear on the screen. The dino sounds are realistic when they stomp around or thump their tails. The ones with wings will flap their wings and scream out realistic sounds as they fly. I enjoyed the cards and the images as well. The cards will correctly pronounce the dinosaur's name which is also very helpful. Great value for the money and very entertaining. If you have a child that loves dinosaurs, this is definitely a "must have."

Pretty cool dinosaur card set.
I bought this set of dinosaur cards for my students. Unfortunately, they couldn't experience the augmented reality effect because I had already registered the cards to my Dinosaur 4D app, so they were disappointed. I guess I'd have to buy multiple sets for my students to experience the AI. So it gets 4 stars.Overall, the card set it pretty cool.

Not that impressive because of bugs
The idea is awesome but the implementation has issues. First of all, one of the cards worked really hard - I put it in front of the phone multiple times, under different angles, yet it only worked once for a few seconds. Second, the app glitches constantly - the AR dinosaurs disappear or glitch, or show in awkward positions - too close or the image being cur. It's very hard to position them so you can see the images well, especially with bigger dinosaur models. In general I am disappointed and will not purchase the other AR cards from the same company as I intended.

What technology is supposed to do.
These cards are great! You look at them thru your phone with their free app and the dinosaur is standing ON the card. You can turn the card around or pick it up to look at this animated dinosaur from all angles. Besides, what kid doesn't want to hold a dinosaur in their hand? I also picked up the animal 4D+, what a fun way to get kids interested in learning! Grandma approved. (I have not yet purchased the VR headset that improves these cards even more, but it is on the list.

Disappointed
Several videos I watched regarding these showed the dinosaurs coming off the card and then you were able to move them with your phone. They come off the card. But once you move your office from the card the Dino disappears
