Good for the price but consequently doesn't last as long
I've been needing a new top for quite a while, and the price of it here on Amazon made me commit. I got the top, installed it in about an hour. First time installation is hard and tiresome, but after it has stretched out it is super easy. The fitment is spot on, the font section is extremely tight and makes the same amount of noise as my old top. The windows are super easy to zip in/out, it's not hard like any other soft top I've used, and everything fits tight. By far my favorite thing about this top is the storage bag for your windows. There are three pockets, one for each window, to keep them from getting scratched up.The only thing I have to complain about, is I am missing a factory piece. While this is not really Rampages fault, it is still a piece many people are missing if they are coming from Bestop tops. The pieces I am missing are the A-Pannel trim piece. It is the piece that runs the length of the windshield that creates a seal between the window and door surround. Though I am missing the piece, and there is a rather large gap, It doen't leak at all. In fact, I get ZERO leaks which is amazing for a soft top.So for the price, and great quality, I recommend this top over any frame top and it is far better then the other frameless tops I have seen. Also, If you have any problems with this top, over at the Jeepforum.com, the Rampage vendors are extremely helpful and will answer any of your questions.April 2014Nearly 4 years later and I'm still happy with this top. The only issue I've had is this past winter when we hit -12 here in Colorado for nearly a week the rear window split. I used some clear packing tape to get through the winter and plan on just buying new rear windows before next winter. Everything else has great, still zero leaks and no broken zippers or straps.May 2015This top is done. Since the last update another split in the window occurred, the zippers on the side windows where they attach to the rear windows are halfway off, and the velcro on the top that attaches to the rear window is alway off. In other words the stitching is coming apart. 5 years of use for what I payed back then I is pretty good in my book so I leave it with 5 stars.October 2016I limped the top through another winter, since the Jeep was mostly sitting. The following summer the windows went in the trash and I ran bikini style all summer. As winter is about to set in again I finally replaced the top with a Bestop Trektop NX. Big difference in quality, but you're definitely paying more for it. My final word is for the price I still don't think you can beat the Rampage top.

1 year review
Edit: reached out to Rampage and they are sending out a replacement for the part with broken zipper. Quick to respond and ship it out. 3 year warranty on this top.Had this top for a year now.Good:I like the looks of it compared to a factory soft topI like that I can store the windows in the top to be able to put them on when I need them for a sudden Florida afternoon storm. The bows in the front help keep too much water from pooling over the front seatsPockets in the front are good for storing small things.Bad:The flap by the pockets in the front has been slowly coming apart. Nothing but aesthetics so it’s not that big of a deal. The passenger window section has some threads coming undone where it mounts to the body clip.Zipper isn’t that good. I zip up the pieces together then clip the top into place so I don’t have to pull hard on the zipper. Some of the teeth from the zipper have broken off.Overall, it’s not a bad top, but it’s not the Best top either. It was also about half the price of the more expensive tops. Living in Florida, I keep the windows out of it 80% of the year. So it serves its purpose mostly.

ready for wheeling
I have heard the complaints and the raves. I think you need to have a realistic expectation of the top. I purchased this because I live in Colorado. Weather depends on your altitude, time of day and what side of the mountain you're on. This causes some problems with planning for a trail ride. This top doesn't need a frame, it has storage for the side windows when it gets hot, complete coverage for cold, and it was inexpensive compared to others. That said, it is the tightest dang top I have seen. My buddy helped me with the first install and it still took 45 minutes for 2 guys with jeep experience. The top has two internal bars that slap in high winds or at high speeds but also offer a spot to hook my stuff to. A towel or jacket in there keeps it quiet. It is a soft top, it makes noise, the fit is amazing, the price is right and if you install it correctly (from front to back) the zippers are fine and strong. It is not for everyone but it works with 60 degree shifts in temp we can get in the high country.EDIT: Feb 2012 -After using this top all season I am sold on the theory that this is the best top for the money. In the spring and fall when the temps are cool and the winds are high, this top gets some slap noise, but in the summer when it is just hot and calm the top is quieter than most. I get no leaks, and I have even done some light storm chasing in this top. Hail and high winds out on the Colorado plains didn't bother me with the top battened down. As expected, it was great to have the top available for sudden showers and snow in the high country.EDIT: March 2013 -Still love this top, no problems with it yet. Snow, ice, rain, and hail haven't hurt it. I still run it through a car wash a few times a year. I am starting my 3rd season with it and it is still very tight and I have no leaks in the top itself. I still recommend it.EDIT: June 2013 - In late April we had a temp swing from near 80 to 40 degrees in a very short time as a storm passed through. The zipper on the drivers side back window popped a couple teeth and the zipper pull itself separated. I wrote Rampage in early May about the issue and never got a response. I ordered a zipper repair kit but it didn't work for this application, so I wrote them again tonight. It has a 2 year warranty according to the website, which it was within when it broke, but now a month later I haven't heard from them to even offer to sell me a repair kit. So, product is great, service seems to be lacking.EDIT: Feb 2014 - I ran all summer without a back window. Not a big deal in this state since it is pretty dry. I never heard from Rampage so I paid a canvas shop to sew in a replacement zipper. If you run into this, one bonus is that the zippers are standard and available cheaper than a Jeep zipper would be. (about 1/2 the cost)so I still like it and still think Rampage customer service is a myth.
