Great for building a fibre link between two distant buildings (200m)Worked straight away and at full speed.Really nice having two of everything, because that’s what I needed.

easy to use
I recently upgraded from a copper to an optical backbone in my home, and used these transceivers either end to convert back to the legacy copper trunks.They are easy to install, "plug & play", working well so far. Value for money was reasonable.

Proper plug and play
The transceiver boxes are excellent. They remain quite cool when running. Easily transfers the data 30m from source at gigabit speed.

I am using this to protect my network from Cable Modem surges
My network has been blown out a few times from lightning hitting my cable modem.So I isolated it with these devices, keeping my cable modem on a separate power source and isolating the Ethernet line with a patch cord of Fiber.So far so good.Wish they gave us a GBIC option on cable modems, they are so susceptible to surges.
