good switch, needs soldering
This switch is good and fairly simple to install. I was disappointed that the wire connectors needed soldering. I tried just clamping it and it came loose after a few uses. It arced and burnt. There is also no indicator for off and on. Since you put the components in yourself, it could end up being either way. It would be nice to have a distiction.

Good quality easy connection
Seem like it should be water resistant if not proof. Just cut your wire in a good location and put the red across from re d and black across from black. Would buy again.

Nice Weatherproof Switch
Taking a clue from another reviewer (SteveTN) I cut the green ground wire of a 3-wire extension cord so it could be routed around the sides of the inside of the switch, and then used an end-to-end crimp splicer to connect the two ends back together. I also removed the short plastic posts on one side so there was room for the green wire could pass next to them. The connectors that came with this broke when I was crimping them onto the wires, so I removed the four screws where they would normally attach, put the tightly twisted wires through the screw holes, then put the screws back in. That's holding the wires in very securely, and the switch works very well.

These are not assembled
I did not receive 2 rocker switches. I received a kit with numerous screws and springs. Assembly directions were not included. I have a job to complete. I need two assembled waterproof rocker switches. .I will be returning these.

Just What I Needed…
Perfect Replacement for a Malone MegaSport Flood Light (hard wired version). My existing switch was broken. This kit has everything you need for a swap or parts. I Used everything except for the wire connectors and wire boot cover.

Not water proof, and comes completely dissassembled
The switches are just parts in a bag that you have to assemble if you want to make a switch out of it. There is no way that the wire entry and exit points are waterproof and none of the hardware is stainless. The only way to even come close to these switches being waterproof is by a liberal application of liquid electrical insulating material. Overall, a poor choice for a waterproof switch.

Ground wire compatible
Wired and unwired switch: Easily modified switch to accommodate a green ground wire with solder and shrink tubing. Had to remove short plastic posts on either side of silver screws so wires soldered to terminals would clear sides. Windex used to slide relief strain rubber boots onto cable.
