Our Dual Mode Virtual Wall differs from other models by providing two different settings. The first, is Halo Mode, which allows a 4' barrier around the device, to keep Roomba out of this area. The second, is Beam Mode, which creates a 10ft beam of infrared, to help keep Roomba in or out of a specific area.

Q: Do u need a WiFi connection for this to work with a iRobot

No, the Dual Mode Virtual Wall will work with a compatible Roomba regardless of the Robot being connected to Wi-Fi.

Q: How do I block an area that’s 15 ft wide?

For a an area that wide it may take 2 units at opposite ends to provide a full beam across.

Q: How would I block it from going under a bed? I still want it to vacuum the bedroom but not go under the bed.

The Virtual Wall barriers utilize two different modes, halo and wall mode. In Halo mode, a 2x4 foot barrier is created and can be used under a bed to prevent Roomba from cleaning this area. In wall mode, a 10 foot wall is created, and can be used to keep Roomba from cleaning near the bed.
