First, this is a beautiful, well-crafted collar. I purchased the 18” because product description says it will fit a16” dog. I managed to barely slip it over my English Bull Terrier’s head onto her 16” neck, and it did fit with little slack. But I should have known better because no matter how hard I tried, I could not slip it back off. I had to cut it off with a pair of dikes. I will be purchasing the 21” because I like the quality; no doubt, it will go on & off. It is my experience that a two inch difference (in spite of the description) is not enough.

Great collar. I was never a fan of chrome choke collars because the chrome flakes off and looks crummy, and I wanted a collar that wouldn’t ruin her fur but be strong enough to trust. Light as a feather because of the alloy it is, but it feels like very strong metal. 18” fits my dog perfect, and my dog likes having it slipped over her head already. The corrections with this are the best corrections I’ve had with a chain collar, and even though the links are large they do not hang up when you correct.Bought another one for my new Lurcher pup. Still love these collars, I dont think the collar itself darkens the dogs fur, I think the tags I use do. Regardless of that, still the nicest chain collar I've purchased.

Product as described, good deal except the manufacturer sizing instructions are not accurate. My dog has an 18” inch neck so I added 2” and bought a 20”. My dog needs at least a 23” or maybe even 25” because I can’t even close the loop on the 20”. Will be returning and buying a larger size.

Perfect for large GSD

This 4 mm collar is plenty strong and won't stain my dog's white and faun fur. I tried a different collar that was 3 mm and it was much lighter. I didn't think 1 mm could make much if a difference but the smaller one was so light I thought it may break with my +100 lb Akita.

Really good but tricky to get correct fit. Trainer told me to get 18-19inches, I bought the 21inch to be extra safe and still I feel like it could be a bit bigger. It's works but I do think my dog will outgrow it pretty soon though.

This is a very good collar, but I bought this specifically because it suggested that it would not discolor light colored dog's fur. But it certainly did create a nearly black ring around my white dog's neck.
