Sturdy, clean able, comfortable.
We purchased this recliner several years ago and it still looks new and has withstood the abuse my husband and his dog have put it through. My husband is 180lbs and his dog is 137lbs.

Nice Quality and Super Comfortable
I was worried when making this purchase not being able to have my husband sit in the chair before buying. He absolutely loves this chair. He finds it to be very comfortable with plenty of room on both sides of him. He is 6'1", 215 lbs. and long legs. When he's in a reclined position, his feet hang off the end of the leg rest, but he says that's the way he prefers it to be. He added that if the leg rest were to go past his feet, it would be uncomfortable on his heels having the pressure there, which makes sense to me. While lying in bed, the weight of the body is distributed more evenly, so it's fine. When he gets home from working all day, he looks forward to sitting in his chair and elevating his legs, since he stands all day. He wanted a chair with a wide enough seat that there's a couple of inches on both sides of his body. It wasn't easy finding a chair that checked all of the boxes and glad this one did! The only issue was that the chair was delivered on the front porch and the driver didn't even knock, just set it there and left. It was supposed to be delivered and placed in the entryway so that I could manage to move it to the desired location. The box was so heavy that I had to hire a couple of guys to move it into the house for me. Pay attention on your delivery day and don't let the driver dump it and run. I would have tipped the driver, but never given the chance.

Lotsa Pluses, but... editing...
I just found out the delivery guys dropped this chair on the way into the building... so I don't know how many of my problems were because of that. I'll edit anything out that could have been because of the delivery. The foot rest comes down way too easy. My little 12# dog put his paws on it and it goes down, and I have a lot of difficulty getting it back up. It is not comfortable without the foot rest up, it doesn't rock for me when it's down. And, I think the problems getting the foot rest up are because the rocking feature brings the chair too far forward when I try. It can rock lightly while the foot rest is up, that's relaxing - if the foot rest stays up. I've gotten better at getting the foot rest up on the first try, but it's hard on my back. And, it does still go down easier than I'd like. The chair is big! It looks terrific. The questions about the amount of weight it'll hold do not appear to be getting accurate answers. This chair could easily hold a large person. And, except from what I said above, it would hold them very comfortably. It feels very stable. It doesn't feel like it would wear out quickly if a heavy person were to use it regularly. And the seat is very large. I'm not an expert in furniture, but from my experience with being a heavy person... I'd say this chair could easily support over 300 pounds. I am returning it for a different chair. I'd return it for the same one if I was sure all my problems were from shipping.

Won't be buying an Ashley recliner again...
I purchased my recliner in March 2022. I waited weeks for delivery, but the delivery company somehow lost it. After waiting weeks for them to find it, Amazon replaced the recliner for free. Kudos to Amazon. This has nothing to do with the quality of the chair but is important to the story. On the day of delivery, two chairs arrived. Where the chair had been hiding for several weeks, I have no idea. But Amazon didn't want the 2nd one back. Thank you, Amazon. This is also important to the story.Within a month, the trim around one of the armrests was pulling away from the chair. I removed the chair from my living room and took it upstairs where it gets minimal use. Ashley's recliners come with a warranty, so I reached out to them. They told me that because I purchased the chair from Amazon, they had to fix it. I reached out to Amazon. They said the repair had to be done by Ashley as they were the manufacturer. After months of trying, no one would repair the chair, and I gave up. The chair has never been fixed. Fortunately, the damage has not gotten any worse and the chair is usable.I left the other recliner in my living room, and it got used every day. Within a year, however, the frame broke. It's been stuck in a half-reclined position ever since, as has the footrest. But one side of the footrest is resting on the floor and the other side is the side that is half up. It's just a broken, unusable chair. This happened to my last Ashely recliner too. But I won't go into details about that as this is a review of this product. But that's 3 out of 3!Do yourself a favor and buy another recliner. This one isn't worth the money at any cost. It took 3 times, but I finally learned my lesson. No more Ashley recliners for me.

To high, reclined is not comfy.....
Came in about 4 days. keep in mind, that you get what you pay for. It's cheap after all. To stiff, nick support is none. I'm 5'8, 180lbs, it's roomy enough for me, i got about two inches on either side to fill :).Arm rests are stiff with little padding, I really wanted to return it, but I don't want to go through the hassle . when you just pull the feet/legs pad, your legs will be above your waist and your back is almost straight up. When you recline all the way, it's actually comfy with middle of your back support. It's a rocking share so that's kinda of a bonus. I'm not 100% happy with it, but again....it's not a $1000 chair. The "Bleather" is decent, it does look nice, semi stiff, assembly is one minute, basically attach the back to the bottom, no hardware needed.
