Works extremely well with a 5k iMac 2017
This is a superb monitor stand. I am using as a stand for a 2017 iMac with the built-in VESA mount. It is extremely light but sturdy, and unlike another stand that I purchased for this purpose (STAND-V001H), it actually supports the weight of the iMac. Despite the iMac's heavier weight compared to a monitor of the same size, the mount doesn't creep downwards. If you are planning on using it with an iMac, the silver finish blends perfectly with it. If you are planning to use this an older iMac with a removable stand (the standard 2017 model with the stand is NOT removable) or an Apple Cinema Display, you don't need to buy a separate VESA kit for it. The stand includes what you need to remove the factory stand and attach this to it.My only gripe with this is that there are no stops to hold it perfectly horizontal or vertical, but I have yet to own a VESA mount that does, and I've owned several, so I don't really fault this one for not having it. On the flip side, it is rigid enough that it isn't easy to accidentally throw it off the horizon easily.

Overall - good
First let me say there are not many choices for standalone monitor stands. I was looking for a stand for my Samsung CJ791 34" monitor and came across this.Pros: It works. It hold up my 34" monitor and I can even swivel to 90 degree angle. It is also very sturdy and well built. I like the silver finish.Cons: The cable management is poor, there is only a clip to feed the cables through.

Awkward setup
There are multiple bolts you have to tighten and loosen, pretty much at the same time, to get your monitor level and at the angle you want it. One wrong move and you got a crooked screen. It can be done but it's super annoying to get it to where you want it. Also, why the F would there be a sticker on the base that isn't meant to come off. I don't need a QR code and company name selling me on a product I already bought. Tough part is the sticker is on the plastic part so using goof off or something to get the sticker residue off can mess up the plastic.

Super easy to assemble, works on a PC monitor
In my line of work we HAVE to work on PCs. That being said, we have other devices that are by Apple and we like to have the streamlined look of that brand. Enter this monitor stand. We knew we wanted something that wasn't black or white, and if it was to be silver, it needed to look "minimal". This was the closest thing that fit that bill. Next, we needed something that support a VESA mount for my PC monitor. The instructions and accessories that come with this monitor stand allow you to mount this for a PC monitor and also imac monitor. This review is only for the PC monitor. I am an average sized person who is probably on the weaker spectrum of things. I also am not a techy. However, I'm matter of fact and this thing took me oh maybe 10 minutes to setup from unboxing to putting my monitor on it. It was super easy and sturdy. Here are my tips:When assembling the plate, steady the bar against the floor and wedge between your knees. Have the "Bottom of the plate - the side with four etched circles", face up towards you, go on top of the bar. Try to sit at a chair and give yourself a 90 degree stance. Next, get your allen wrench ready and get the four screws in. The holes are really easy to line up. Next, peel back the cushion mount pads and line up with the etched circles.Place the plate with bar on your desk. put the adjustable stop and the plate per the instructions. You can just loosen or tighten the screw by hand.Next, get your monitor and screw in the plate. Note you will need to use the same allen wrench to "loosen" the ball thingy so you position it according to the picture attached here. It utilizes four thumb screws which you literally screw in with your fingers.Next, you slide it over the top of the bar and it should stop at where you have placed the adjustable stop. Et Voila! You are done.Note: The plate supports the weight of the monitor if you don't do anything strange. Think of the monitor as a cantilever. You don't want to over pivot the angle of the monitor and expect miracles, meaning the plate can only sit still if the monitor is in a reasonable position and supported on a sturdy surface. It CAN torque if you don't support it properly your monitor is too far angled to one side.

Great stand for my Studio Display
I got this stand for my vesa mount Studio Display. The color is a perfect match for Apple's silver. I got this stand so I can lower the bottom edge of the display closer to my desk and make a better alignment with my eyes and reading glasses than what Apple's stand offered. Two minor issues. I set an Apple computer behind the Studio Display but it tips off the edge of the StarTech base. Simple fix was to add a shim under the computer case. I also did not like the top of the StarTech post above the top edge of the display. Simple fix was to add my Marine cap on top of the post. Future options include a Duke Nukem or Arthur Morgan figurine if I can find one 😁 I highly recommend this stand and thank other reviewers who gave it good reviews

meh design
This review is for the table top silver stand (since there are multiple items in this listing).Upon completing the assembly, which took needlessly longer than necessary, it has become evident that the stand was designed by someone who didn't know what they were doing. You need 4 hands to mount your monitor, 2 to position it and hold it in place and keep it from tipping forward, third hand for the small allen wrench, and a fourth hand for a socket wrench opposite the allen wrench (which conveniently was NOT provided, but good thing I had one). Then you tighten using both. One tiny solitary screw holds everything in place. Someone with a clue might have designed it with an adjustment handle and separate adjustments for pivot and tilt, alas, that was not the case here. Loosen one screw to make a small adjustment and the whole thing becomes flaccid and sags and you have to start over with your positioning from the very beginning.
