VEVOR Hydraulic Outboard Steering Kit

Purchased for kicker motor steering. Got a used boat, came with 150hp transom mounted main motor with 9.9 hp kicker mounted on a bracket. Previous owner tried using a tie rod but with the offset geometry, a tie rod would never work. This is almost identical to the Seastar cylinder on my main. I must have gotten this when the price was the lowest $173 compared to over $800 for the Seastar. Found hydraulic hoses & fittings and it all works for around $300 under what I would have spent on just a Seastar cylinder. I can independently raise or lower either motor while underway by just using dash mounted valves. Easily go from running on main motor to trolling to running to another spot with main motor. It was well worth a gamble. After a year of use in only saltwater only the Vevor sticker is fading. No corrosion so far.

I bought one of these for a 225 hp Mercury on one of my boats and liked it enough that I bought two for my other boat that has twin 150 hp Mercs BUT I went to the Vevor site and bought the second two directly from them and saved a ton of money. The only drawback is it takes a little longer to arrive

Great product for the price

Purchased this for a 140 Suzuki and so far it works amazingly. So much more cheaper for this than going to the marine store and paying over $1000’s dollars.

My old sea star was leaking. So i ordered the vevor actuator and as you can see i replaced only the cylinder and the front steering column...thats it the rear supports and brackets are spares (picture 2)... Sea star actuator only... cost more than the entire vevor steering system.. And i wont talk about how much sea star full system is....this product worked great while moving handled my 225 suzuki at 39 mph like it was a Cadillac

Easy installation, wish it had more fitting option instead of the single 90d elbow fittings.
