I recently put up a security camera for the back garden and needed a camera cover to provide some protection from the elements.This product is very sturdy and made from a hard plastic which feels robust enough to last for years. It is really very easy to mount (raw plugs and screws) just be sure to have a ladder or something which allows you enough height to be comfortably above the cover when mounting as there is a screw hole directly on the outer middle of the cover. If not, you will have a hard time feeling for the hole to mark the wall for drilling as well as when it comes to fixing the cover with a screwdriver.I was worried that the cover would not provide adequate cover & protection for the camera but I can confidently say that it is actually a great size. The camera is sufficiently protected on both sides as well as in the front i.e. doesn’t get wet from the rain and is also shaded from the sun, all day long.As far as camera covers go, this is a great product and I recommend purchasing one for yourself.

I thought it would be too big, but no, it was perfect with no rain on the camera lens.

Bought to help keep some of the rain off our Ring Camera. Certainly does the job and if well built. Easy to fit and matches the appearance of the camera well, but think the price is a bit too high for what is after all just a piece of plastic.

Does the job

Ideal for protecting all cameras types for outdoor security. It does not matter weather your cameras are waterproof or not, just get a protective housing and shroud them over. These items from "Boxulock" are ideal and easy to fit. A word of warning though, use stainless steel, or rustproof washers for securing the housing, as washers are not supplied. Other than that just be content that snow, rain will not damage your expensive cameras.

Fitted this yesterday so this is very much an initial review, hence the three star rating is based purely on limited experience of product. As with so many plastic products, this seems very expensive for what you get which is essentially similar to a bit of plastic guttering. However, it feels of good quality and is easy to fix to outside brickwork using the plugs and screws provided. The big test is, of course, when bad weather strikes which, according to forecasts is today when we are told to expect a months rain in a day. I will update once it has been tested.

It was good value and easy to attach. It works well stopping rainwater blowing into my boiler flue - so far, so good.
