Great stuff!
I was given a package of brew cocoa as a gift and never used it. I finally did and it really grew on me. Now I'm hooked. Great in the afternoon on a cold day as a coffee replacement. It does have zing to it. Great stuff!

Delicious drink
I make this in a French press.I use two tablespoons of grounds, 10 ounces of water.I let it sit for ten minutes, then I add cream and sweetener.Great after lunch and dinner. A nice pick me up without the buzzof coffee.

More like tea than coffee
It's good, but honestly I like chicory root more for a coffee substitute. This brews more like tea than coffee, and you can't use regular coffee filters. At this price you'd be better off buying cacao nibs in bulk and roasting them yourself

Great chocolate taste.
I love coffee and chocolate. I finally found a product that taste like a combination of both. Great taste.

Overpriced at $20z Not my thing, but not horrible.
Tase is ok, but it’s weak when brewed like coffee. The chocolate taste will make you want to add sugar. I could see this being good if you brewed it and added hot cocoa powder. Not worth $20 for sure.

Wonderful Taste
Delicious! I have been getting this from the company on a subscription for several months. It is a wonderful product, but the shipping takes a while. This arrived within a day. About the same cost as from Crio Bru.

Not exactly what I hoped
Latest. The problem. This product might be more successful IF the cacao was pelletized to a uniform size and shape like coffee. Mixing smallish pieces with powder makes real brewing impossible. Once wet, cacao absorbs a lot of water (high water holding capacity).Other uses? This might work in cake and muffin batter./////////Original viewIt appears to be chopped up cacao. I tried it twice in a French press and learned I got around 5 oz of drink using 16 oz of water. The cacao absorbs way too much water to be useful or worth the trouble. Of course they tell users on the bag not to use paper filters. I found that pouring it through a typical sieve It merely clogged up the sieve. The claims on the back seem rather unsubstantiated. Okay, it has flavonoids but there's no assessment of how much flavonoid. It's zero sugar which makes sense or very low sugar. It contains theobromine. I didn't get much kick from it. It says that it's loaded with natural mood enhancers. So there's no assessment of how many enhancers for the mood you get. And the last one on the back of the bag is magnesium for bone brain and heart health. They listed ingredients say absolutely nothing about how much magnesium it has. There's a single comment about 2 mg 20 mg etc etc. maybe it is nanograms?I have no idea what I'm going to do with the rest of the bag. It might be possible to put it in my grinder and make it super super fine like Hershey's powdered chocolate and see where that takes me.The impression I get from the description on the bag and the description on Amazon is that this was going to act something like coffee grounds. This is nowhere near or even close to being coffee grounds. You get a small amount to actually drink and a larger portion of it that is made up of soggy cacao fines.

Almost exclusively replaced my hot chocolate
This is going to be quite long. I thought I already wrote a review, but I guess I didn't. I bought this back in late 2022, just after I decided which flavor I liked from the sample kit. I have really bad ADHD, and it was advertised as brain boosting. I was desperate, so I bought the sample.I did quite a bit of research before my purchase, so knew going in that it wasn't going to taste like hot chocolate and that most people find the flavor disappointing: like overly water chocolate. And they were right. I found a way to make it taste better (which I will get to), but it was so high effort, that I didn't have the mental energy for it. However, I recently picked it back up, and have been drinking it every day.How I made it taste great:1. substitute all water for milk. I use whole milk, and if I'm feeling fancy, I'll do 75% whole milk/25% heavy cream. 2. I add in a small spoon full of sugar, because I like it a tad sweeter. 3. It says 2 Tbsp per what...8 oz? For a single cup I do 2.5 - 3 Tbsp. 4. I also add in a bit of cinnamon.I also ignore the instructions. I put everything into whatever container I'm using to heat, and heat it to the temp I want. I either use stove top or the instapot magic milk frother (without frothing on). Once it's done, I let it sit for a few minutes before straining it.Straining: I double strain because just using the french press is a pain, due to the grounds being so fine and clogging up the mesh. So I first strain it through either a separate mesh sieve or cheese cloth into the french press, THEN I filter it through the french press into my cup. Makes cleanup a lot easier too.I come out with a clean and easily poured cup of what now taste like dark chocolate hot chocolate. It's not completely low effort, but it takes me about 10 minutes including cleanup, and then I get to sit with my very flavorful drink. As far as brain benefits, I never drank coffee, so I cannot compare it, but I do feel my brain is a little more focused and calm on the days I drink it. I've also been adding in other brain foods and high cholesterol into my diet, so I cannot say that the drink works alone if you have wild ADHD, but it definitely has been helping, and I will be buying again once I run out.
