Very nice vintage hardware!
First off, yes they are thin but they look exactly like they are. A perfect touch to a vintage style box you’re putting these on.Secondly I had no troubles with the screws. Drilled correct size pilot hole and they went fine into red oak. The screws are metal and not plastic as I saw someone else write.Really made my project!

Just what I needed. Not the highest quality, but good enough for a simple craft job...
These are stamped metal, not cast, but they look nice enough and work fine for an out of sight project that needed an inexpensive latch to finish it (I put a hinged door on the back side of a pendulum clock that I have converted from mechanical to quartz movement - for batter access). The tiny screws are of good quality, well formed. Just what I needed.

Not great quality control, but cheap and nice looking
They look nice and fit the project, but the holes for the top latch were drilled too large, so after I lined up the latch and drilled the pilot holes I tried to screw it in. The result is that the screws passed right through and wouldn't hold on the latch. I tried to use the other latch since I only actually needed one, but that one was a different length latch so it would hold the box open if I used it or I would have to try and fill the old holes and re-drill. I ended up cutting a small piece of clear plastic from the packaging of something else I had recently bought and made essentially a small clear plastic washer that held it in place, but it was a pain to install it because of that. The latch itself was also bent so it didn't line up right, but it was really easy to just bend it back. The hinges worked fine and are obviously cheaper, but in some ways that slight wonkiness makes it look a bit more antique. You do get what you pay for and I might buy it again if I was going for this look on a cheap jewelry box project. If I was getting something for a project I was going to actually sell, I'd go with other hardware.

Well made
These worked great on my project. I wish the hinges were a little bigger, but they work just fine. The latch works great. I like that they are made of metal.

Small hinge and clasp
Just the right size.

Quality little latches & hinges
These are great quality, not hollow rubbish like most of the stuff on here. Screws are a good length and don't snap as soon as you offer them up to anything harder than pine. I used them on a small oak box and they are great. Look exactly like they do in the picture. The latch has a nice spring action and the hinges move freely. Can't fault them.
