As a stand alone, there is only and only one major flaw in here, and that is the lack of a sturdy long life rotate-disk. This package comes with a plastic disk which is useless, so you must buy the solid steel disk with the solid ball-bearings, which is a drag to fix if you are not savy enough, otherwise, this saved me a tonne of space in my room, took all my CD's and more and now my room looks a bit more spacious.

This storage unit is exactly what we needed. Easy to put together and sturdy. It doesn't take up a lot of space. Very happy with this purchase.

After reading prior reviews I expected assembly and materials to be an issue. The package arrived in a rather flat box. It is heavy so I got it inside and moved the boards a few at a time to the area of assembly. Only one corner of one of the vertical boards was slightly damaged. It is hidden after assembly so not an issue. Hardware and instructions were wrapped together with hardware bagged & labeled separately. I am not one to follow instructions to the letter but based on some of the reviews my approach was to go slowly and step by step. The instructions could be better, but were a good guide. One important thing to note is the manufacturer must have changed the turntable part unless it depends on which version of their various sized units is purchased. I did not buy a separate metal ball bearings turntable as some recommended. My unit came with a circular plastic ring with multiple plastic rollers. Seems more substantial than what other reviews described. I assembled the entire unit by laying the components down then installed to the base upright. Some reviews mention needed to put together across your lap. That was not necessary or practical in my case. It is now fully loaded with CDs and rotates freely. At this price point you can’t expect hardwood but I will say the melamine covering is very thin and prone to scratches going through to the bare particle board more easily then I would like. Overall I am satisfied so far with this purchase. One odd observation. The listing on Amazon states the item is “Made in the USA”, yet there is no such marking anywhere on the box or written materials. I would expect a company to proudly label their packaging and materials accordingly.

I've had this for 3 months and it broke completely off the bottom. It's held together with one screw. I loved it until it broke now I'm out a lot of money and it needs to be replaced! Very disappointing! (And expensive)

The storage tower does the job well. Items are easily accessible and in a reasonably compact space. It is a project to assemble however and there is no way to describe it other than “kind of klunky looking,” just a hair short of “downright ugly.” But I have a load of CDs and 2 of these towers solved my problem.
