Got it, installed it and works great. It is an exact match to the one I broke a few days ago. It was challenging to find this correct part because MTD does not reference the part no. in the owner's manual. Getting the old assembly out of the cover and snapping the new one in was hard for me, but I am not very strong. Also, there seems to be a "sweet spot" about 180 degrees relative to the pull handle when held upside down.

Fit perfectly. A lot sturdier than the original. Worked great.

Fixed my mower

Perfect fit easy to install. works great. Lawnmower and works better than when it was new. always had to pull 3 or 4 times to get it to start. Now it starts first pull. I have never worked on a lawnmower before but I was able to install it easily.

Product is as expected and works well. Unfortunately, Amazon needs to work on their shipping and stop telling customers that they will receive their shipping in a predetermined time. Amazon added another 15 days when the item was received on time. What a scam, can’t even request for a refund and have to wait another 15 days to see if item will be delivered.
