Just what I wanted
This horn replaced an old one that broke after several years. It's nearly identical, so it could be the same manufacturer. The bar clamp on this came with a thumbscrew rather than a nut, so it was easier to attach to the bike.It has a satisfying old-time honk to it and works well for warning walkers ahead of me as I approach on my bike. It's funny enough of a sound that it doesn't alarm anyone, but it does attract the desired attention. Good price and exactly as advertised.

Cool, loud, mounted on lawn tractor!
I got this horn to mount on our lawn tractor, as we've seen bobcats, mountain lions, and even bears in our yard at times. I had to do some "minor modifications" to the brackets that came with it, but figured out a cool way to mount it where I can grab the bulb readily, should I encounter an animal while mowing the lawn. Our property borders woodlands and/or heavy brush along three sides, so it's anyone's guess what wildlife might be 'lurking' nearby. It seems sufficiently LOUD that it should have some affect, though I haven't yet needed to try it out for 'real', so I'm not sure. Hope I never do! ;-)

Not as robust, and rusts.
I bought this for my mountain bike, just in case someone walking might move the wrong direction, so i could warn them. It definitely is loud enough. However, after a month, it started to rust. we did keep it under cover, but at a campground, it does get wet. Now, after just 3 months, it quit. Looks ok, but no sound. I bought 2 of these. the other still works, but is also getting rusty.i guess it's not that bad for $8, but i'd have thought it would have lasted longer outside.

Great horn, poor assembly
The horn gets five stars but the manufacturer gets minus one for not fixing the reed problem. I had to fix mine after about a month of use. What happens is that the reed is held in the horn by friction aided by a taper on the reed body. Eventually, I'm guessing, the reed is blown out by the bulb sucking air back in after you release it. On my horn, The opening in which the reed fits into had a burr half way around which I carefully bent over so that it formed an ersatz thread . I then screwed the reed in which stayed in even when I had given a good tug on it, and a dozen squeezes on the bulb. It wouldn't be that hard for the manufacturer to do the same. Anyway, if comes out I come back and inform you of my failure. Hopefully they all have a burr.

Clowning Around
Before you take me too seriously, I fully realized how over the top having this on my daily form of transit really is. Was I really expecting to honk at pedestrians, with a literal clown's horn? I suppose I was, but this cheap piece of crap had other plans in mind. When I received the horn I immediately fastened it to my bike, after honking at my roommate about 30 or so times it started to sound more and more faint, and the sound rapidly died off after a few more honks. I gave it a few hours and tried again-- no luck. I then gave it a day-- still dead. I couldn't wrap my head around it, so I requested a replacement.Replacement came, and I wasn't ready to give up hope. I repeated the above routine, with a similar result. This time the horn died out after about 2 days, so maybe if you purchase this horn and then return it enough times it'll work for longer stretches of time. The answer is no.

*honk honk* The husband wanted us to have horns instead of bells
and my goodness, they're loud! I can't speak to the sturdiness of the product as of yet, since it was just delivered, but I can say that it's just as pictured. The black ball part that you squeeze to honk it, is a relatively easy squeeze. If you're getting this for a little one, they might need some help, a young kid, 6+ should be able to honk it fine and if you have hand issues like me (arthritis, carpal tunnel, neuropathy, etc.) this horn is doable without too much effort/pain.And since I'm one of those shoppers that likes pictures with reviews, you will find one below.

What a great HONKER !
I purchased this horn for my bicycle. I ride local trails that are maintained by local governments. The public uses these trails for walking, jogging, biking, walking pets and in-line roller skates. There are families riding their bikes together, some even have 2 and 3 seat bikes, and some pull their little ones in a coach attached to the bikes. (SO COOL). Bikers always pass me because I'm almost 71 and just enjoy a casual ride however but I am still able to catch up to and pass walkers and joggers. I squeeze the horn bulb one time in advance to alert those I am coming up on so they are aware. (It's been MANY years since I rode bike and got back into it about 6 weeks ago.) So far I am the only one with a horn. Some use voice but it's not loud and their almost beside me when they warn. I have been using this horn for a couple weeks and found that it works best for me and many people thank me for the well advanced warning as I pass by. I remember these horns when I was a kid and glad they are still around.

Looks good but looks and feels cheap.
My wife wanted a horn to honk so our dogs would move out of the way of her walker. Mostly for fun.Pro's: Shipped promptly.Heavy duty, oversized, cardboard shipping box.Horn looks as pictured.Rubber bulb was easy to attach.Clamps to attach the horn to a handle bar are included.Con's: The shipping box was oversized and there was nothing in the box to keep the horn from sliding and bouncing around. There was no damage to the horn. The bulb was loose in the box. It did not fit the horn snuggly so it leaks air and that diminishes the sound. The add boasts the horn is chrome covered steel. Made from two parts welded together, it shows rough welds that were not grinded smooth before it was chromed.I looked inside the horn which was not chromed and it was rusting. The metal used for the horn looks very thin. The clamps to fasten it to a handle bar are small and difficult for me to attach to the handle bar. Conclusion: I do not recommend this horn. For the quality, I think it is grossly overpriced and not worth the selling price. Considering it is "new", it should not have any rusting .
