I bought this as opposed to the ones that look like a thermos as I need to use it at high altitude. As water boils at a lower temperature at higher altitudes, it doesn’t automatically shut off, as mentioned in the description. It’s very obvious when it’s boiling though so it’s not a problem if you keep an eye on it.I boiled water in it three times and washed it out with dish soap once before using it. I was a bit concerned about the silicone smell after it got hot and if it would affect the taste of my tea but I didn’t notice anything when I first used it.It’s a decent size and at max capacity you can just get two mugs worth or water.It’s a little heavier than I expected but I like how it collapses to save space when travelling. We don’t travel too often so hopefully it will last a while.

My husband and I have been on a 49 day road trip, and I'm so glad I purchased this amazing kettle. It folds up so small, but it boils water so quickly and easily, and it's held up really well. You just have to be careful to let it cool down a little after using, as there's a thin metal band around the middle that gets very hot. I just turn it off, unplug it, and pour out the remaining water and let it sit for half an hour or so, and then it's ready to pack away. Also, it will boil dry, so it's important to turn it off when you're done with it.

This is one of my best Amazon purchases. I purchased it 14 months ago and have used it daily. It heats water quickly. It is easy to clean, although it does not need to be cleaned often even with the hard water we have where I live. I learned quickly not to pour the water with one hand on the lid. The steam coming out is HOT! Also, pay attention to the manufacturer's written instruction to not fill above the fill line. If you will above that level, when you pour the hot water it can splash up and around the spout and onto your skin. Do what they say, and you will be fine.

Seems decently well made. Tested and it boils water a little faster than anticipated — probably because it’s NOT 700w as the specs say. I’m seeing 830W on my watt meter. Minus one star for getting the basics wrong…

Great collapsible Kettle. I was amazed but how quickly it brought the water to boiling temperature, between 4 and 4 1/2 minutes. Auto shutoff will really help save power when using it. The handle is large enough to keep your fingers away from the hot silicone sides. Bottom stays cool so you don't have to worry about the surface you place it on. It pours extremely well so not worries about hot water slashing. Only con is a very short power cord but because it uses a standard plug type, very easy to found a longer cord. It took about 64Wh to boil the 600ml of water. While running, it draws around 815 watts.

I like the color and the size, good for one cup of hot water. This is a space saver especially when travelling. Will buy again.

Easy to use, easy to pack for traveling. I used it with the OXO collapsible pour over coffee maker and it worked well. This comes with a little drawstring bag which works but I think if it came with a form fitting case for it, it would be even better (like the one the OXO pour over coffee maker comes with). 10/10 would recommend.

Works great & will be very easy to store & transport.
