Bilstein5100 Monotube Shocks Set for 99-06 Chev Silv 1500 4WD 2-2.5" Torsion

These fit perfectly on a 2005 Chevy Silverado Z71 1500 crew cab with factory ride height. These replaced the original shocks. They ride just as good as the originals and are an excellent replacement shock. Easy to install with the right tools and a little muscle. Each shock was in it's own box with hardware and all 4 came in one big box.

Bought these to replace my worn out 230kplus shocks and I can tell they make a day and nights difference ride better handles better overall a great brand would probably buy again

I bought these for my son's 2005 Z71 with 240K miles on it. Truck is a hand-me-down(I put the majority of those miles on her). All I can say is WOW! The 5100's completely changed the ride on the truck. I don't think you can find a better shock for the money. Easy to install if you have any sort of mechanical ability and a floor jack. Worth the extra money over some of the alternatives out there. Bilstein = quality.

I purchased these shocks for my 03 Silverado 1500. I use my truck as a truck and require suspension components that can hold up to the abuse. Towing, hauling and off road use are the norm and so far these shocks have excelled.All four shocks arrived properly packaged and with all hardware. They have an aluminum housing that will not rust, simple rinse off and they look good as new. All four shocks came with boots to protect the seals and rods. I have towed, went off road and drove lots of city and highway miles. I would definitely recommend, the ride on my Silverado has greatly improved and when I eventually need to replace again, I will put these same shocks back in my amazon cart!Buy it now you won't regret!

Highly recommend these shocks!! I have 37" nitto mud grapplers on my 2001 Z71 and it rides like a dream with these bilstein 5200 series shocks. You wont be disappointed. Best $300 you will ever spend to make your truck ride like it should especially with heavier wheel/tire packages. The 4600 series is recommended when using stick wheel/tire packages. The 5200s are 52mm tubes and the 4600s are 46mm tubes. So whatever your wheel/tire package is Bilstein is the only shock to use hands down. Chevy should have never stopped using them but I am sure it was to save several 100s of thousands or probably millions of dollars when you add 10-20$ diff per shock multiplied by a million trucks they produce. Shame on you Chevy!!! Lol.

If your reading this then your looking for some guidance just like I did when researching shocks as there are several options out there. I installed these on my 2002 Chevy 1500 with 207,000 mile. Easy installation etc. I did feel a difference in ride and suspension but nothing earth shattering. Still worth it in my opinion.

First of all I left the original shocks on my Silverado z71 for 15 years and 182,000 miles so they were shot to say the least. These Bilsteins are fairly easy to install and I think they are smoother than the original shocks back when they were new. The color makes them have a custom look after install. I haven't compared these to the other brands but I'm happy with their performance after 3 weeks of use and it was cheaper out of my pocket from having the shop replace them with Monroes. I actually bought these after a fair bit of research indicated Bilsteins are used on higher end GMs and recommended by a former GM parts manager.

Don't think about the price tag. Fit and rides firmer but they rebound perfect. Looks great. Quality bilt shocks.
