The perfect fix!
This has worked perfectly for me. I am a violinist and orchestra teacher. I am allergic to the metal on the chin rest of my teaching violin. This allows me complete comfort and I like the extra padding!

Great Option
For those of you with chin rests and no chin rest pad - get this one!! I'll admit it's a little bit thin where the pad comes into play, but I've thought about tucking something underneath it like a cut microfiber cloth just to add a little bit more. Definitely saves your chin after playing

works for our 15" viola
I wasn't sure if this would be big enough for my son's 15" viola, but it works just fine.We like that we don't have to adhere anything onto the chin rest. The straps keep it on.

This is very comfortable, and washable (by hand washing) too. Fits and stays in place well.

Makes Practicing More Comfortable
Nicely cushioned and easy to install. Makes violin practice more comfortable for our granddaughter. Does not alter the balance of the instrument.

Ideal protection for pressure areas
It fits nicely over my Guarneri style chinrest, the one that is not elevated. I also tried it on another custom chinrest that is 1.25” high and this cover tends to slide off of the tip end. Coupled with my new Bonmusica shoulder rest this soft cover is a real plus for comfort and maintaining positioning for my 4/4 violin. I am an adult beginner violinist of 3 1/2 years.
