Delicious!!
So, as I have mentioned in a review or two before; many moons ago when I had no gray hair, I spent the better part of a decade in the Army. With that came an abundance of occasions in the field and deployed where my brothers, sisters and I would have to resort to eating MREs. If you have ever had an MRE, that is something you remember, forever. And those of you reading this that have indeed lived off of MREs for any period of your life, you know all too well that everyone has their personal favorite. You will NEVER find someone that is okay with whichever MRE is pulled out of the box. If anyone ever tries telling you otherwise, that person is a dirty liar. My personal favorite was always the Chili & Macaroni. Now don’t get me wrong, it isn’t perfect straight out of the box, but I did what I had to do to make it a good meal. I would barter and beg if need be to get someone else’s plain cheese spread from their MRE so that I could add that to my chili-mac; which actually makes for a decent meal. Now, if you and your significant other are anything like my wife and I, you have spent many nights sleeping in separate rooms of the house because of the age-old argument/discussion/question; ‘what do you want for dinner?’ We both have postgraduate degrees, and yeah, I’m a bit smarter than her, but she can hold her own just fine when we watch Jeopardy; so why can’t the two of us together come up with a way to avoid a disagreement, or even peacefully resolve it when it does occur? I’m pretty sure that we aren’t the only ones who deal with this either. In my head, every couple out there deals with the same issue in one way or another. For example, I imagine an astronaut makes her way back to earth after spending months in outer space, and on her first night back, her husband and her don’t spend the night together, and probably end up eating a bowl of cold cereal because they were unable to figure out whose turn it was to pick. And don’t forget what I said earlier; this dispute is in my opinion ‘age-old’. For instance, back when we as humans were living in caves, I imagine a cavewoman tending to a fire to ensure that it is still burning when her caveman gets back. You see him on the horizon walking backwards toward the cave as he drags the grizzly bear inch by inch. As soon as he is within shouting distance, he hears his cavewoman yell, “I thought we had agreed on rabbit for tonight”… And this ultimately led to them sleeping in separate caves that night.Back to the point here… One night while I was sleeping on the couch for no particular reason, I was thinking about what I could do in the future to avoid what had happened that led to me being on the couch. My idea: I should have a meal ready to go for the next time that this question comes up and starts getting a little shaky. And having eaten MREs in the past, I knew just the meal that I could have on hand for years at a time. So I bought two; one for me and one for her.The chili-mac was just as I remembered it, so 5 stars for that. On the other hand, she can’t eat gluten, and apparently the chili-mac MRE is really just a bag of gluten; so I still ended up on the couch…

6- & 7-Year-Old APPROVED
I don’t leave reviews. But my 6- and 7-year-old kids demolish an MRE and are asking for more, you know something went right here. They gave it a 10/10, and to be honest, as far as MREs go, I think I agree.

First MRE ever, liked it
First MRE I have ever tried. Tasted good and filled me up. Got the Orange electrolyte mix in mine and was the first one of these I've tried. A little chalky but I'm guessing it's got some added vitamins in it (tastes like chewing on a vitamin pill). Was still easy to drink though. I'd recommend getting the crackers and cake down before finishing your drink though. Need the fluid to wash those down. And you're paying for One MRE. Great if you want to try the Chili Mac.

Good taste, Not as Filling as I thought and Kind of Expensive
I got the Chili and Macaroni. It tasted great, and the food wasn't stale or rotten. However, it wasn't as filling as I thought it would be. I don't know maybe I'm just a fatty. This is a great product if you want to know what it's like to eat an MRE but roughly 20 dollars a meal is pretty expensive. I'm a college student and this would be a great way to eat since I'm also lazy and don't want to cook but like I said, pretty expensive so I can't use this a substitute.

Great MRE
This is one of the best MREs I've ever tryed. This one, unlike some other ones I got had an amazing heater that cooked the hell out of the food. The MRE was really good but probably the best part wasn't the food but the Cheese Jalapeno spread that went amazing with the cracker. The meal and the crackers were lean too. Only about 400cals for them. That's a lot less than some of the meals I can prepare at home. But overall, great MRE.

Great product!
Product was true to description. Bought this product to test before a three day backpacking trip. Chili Mac was good, slightly spicy but not overwhelmingly so. Definitely filling. MRE came with heating element so only water is needed to activate (which is a plus for my backpacking trip, as I do not want to also have to carry a mini propane stove). MRE also came with cracker and cheese spread, instant coffee & creamer, instant fruit punch drink, candy, a dessert, etc. Each MRE contains different items, but definitely worth the money to get a full meal that heats itself. Definitely a great product & seller.

OK, but could have been better.
I ordered this product for my husband for Christmas as he used to be a Marine and wanted to reminisce. I was surprised to find that it was in its original packaging as most military surplus stores have to sell them in plastic bags with all the parts out of the pouch. Unfortunately, the chemical reaction between the water and the heater didn't occur and he ended up eating half-heated chili mac. Otherwise, it arrived on time and everything else was great.

ALMOST LIKE BEING BACK IN THE ARMY AGAIN.
I ENJOY THE MRE's THEY ARE A COMPLETE MEAL FOR ME. I AM A DISABLED VET AND I HAVE A LOT OF TROUBLE GETTING AROUND IN DOING MOST ANYTHING IN THE KITCHEN, THUS IT IS EASY FOR ME TO HEAT THE PACKAGE IN SIMMERING WATER TO BRING THE FOOD TO THE CORRECT TEMPERATURE AND EASY FOR ME TO GET THE FOOD ONTO A DISH AND ENJOY A FILLING AND SATISFYING MEAL.WHEN I WAS ON ACTIVE DUTY MANY YEARS AGO I NEVER MINDED HAVING ONLY RATIONS AS I KNEW THEY WERE MADE WELL AND NUTRITIOUS.NOW I FIND THEM TO BE JUST VERY CONVENIENT ALSO.
