Good for cleans, not for distortion
This speaker provides high quality clean tones, it's high frequency response is spectacular, but I wouldn't advise it for distortion or overdriven tones.

Really opens up a darker amplifier.
I have one amplifier with EL84 tubes and it has a celestian classic lead 80. It's perfect for humbucker guitars. I have another amp with 6v6s that's quite a bit darker Even when playing single coil strat type guitars. I replaced the classic lead 80 in that can with this speaker and it really opened things up. Sounds great. That said, thid speaker's a lot more expensive than most other speakers.

Took awhile to narrow down the best sounding speaker for my 2x12
Took awhile to narrow down the best sounding speaker for my 2x12; fortunately I had the sound comparison samples on Celestion's site along with a large collection from ConeTones (http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/GTRAudio) to audition. And in both cases... at least in terms of the high-gain tones that matter to me, Blue was best. Some others I swapped out included the Celestion V30, G12-M & G12-H; the Blues were the most "mix-ready" of the four, free of hollow boxiness & barkiness, well-balanced and clear without being ice-picky. Also, these are actually made in Ipswich, England which I suppose doesn't hurt. The downside of these speakers is the low power handling (15W) and the price, of course. But you get what you pay for. Problem solvers!

Mine came 2nd hand in a ripped box
I haven't used this but I was excited to buy this speaker but it arrived in a shabby box and had clearly been opened and returned or something. It said it was new and at this price, I expect it to come unopened and new as advertised.

amazing tone. I tried 3 of my guitars with ...
Incredible sound !!! I built a 1x12 cab (Baltic Birch) just for this speaker and I have it connected to my Orange Micro Terror head. Wow, amazing tone. I tried 3 of my guitars with it (Fender Telecaster Sunburst USA 60th anniversary, Fender Stratocaster 1985 MIJ with Lindy Fralin split blade pickups, Gibson LesPaul Studio 2011) and I switch between them when playing depending on style. Mostly I play clean melodic chords (bluesy) and I love found my Fender Strat to be the perfect fit for this speaker. The tone bites and is addictive. You can play for hours. Go for it, and enjoy..

Perfect speaker?
You be the judge, but it must come pretty close, in the right context that is. I have one of these in a VoxAC15 and also a Tweed Deluxe 5E3 clone. It mates perfectly with the Vox style amps. In the Fender tweeds it's a close call between this and the Weber 12A125 for me. The Celestion is a bit fuller in the bass and rockier sounding, whereas the Weber is perhaps more authentic to the original.
