Not exactly machine washable
This was a bed for my great pyr husky mix's kennel, fits great! Hard to find a kennel bed in 48" that isn't a million dollars. Love the extra cushion in the sides, that being said this dog bed isn't meant to be super fluffy, there isn't a lot of padding in the bottom, enough to be comfortable. Which, between that and the fabric, is perfect for our puppy because she sleeps hot, and this dog bed won't keep her too hot but gives her cushion. The fabric itself though is a little noisey in the night when she moved around, we just through a sheet over top to silence it.The part that was disappointing was being able to wash it, part of the reason I got it, pups get sick and can't help but make a mess sometimes. She had diarrhea while we were out and needed to clean the bed in the washing machine, the washing machine ripped the delicate underside of the bed, the instructions say to wash in a machine without an agitator, most washing machines do (maybe not the new fancy ones?) And there is no way to get the agitator out, so technically I wouldn't consider this machine washable if you are required to have a certain type of machine, and no where on the site does it say that, don't get to find that out until it's too late. Guess I'll just have to duct tape it and hope she never had another accident? Sigh, really liked this dog bed besides the noise (easy fix) and not being able to actually wash it without buying a new washing machine.

Finally an affordable, tough bed!
Really, really easy to clean. It does not have a removable, washing machine cover—rather it boasts a well-made sturdy outdoor water hose-able surface, which is our preference. I don’t have a giant washer, so that’s not even an option for us. This bed may work well in a machine, and I’d drop it at the laundromat if it needs it in the future. We have two Border Heelers—mixed Border Collie and Blue Heeler. Beautiful and amazing dogs. Also stronger than 90% of dogs, or 110% more stubborn. They have limitless tenacity. We have a place they love to go under our brick house—maybe it was used for wood storage accessed from outside, but it is perfect to keep them safe if a storm pops up while we are away. Our boy kept growing, and I heard him whimper crawling out of that hole…so we rolled the rock back over it to save him from arthritis and hip problems. Our girl is the perfect little size, but she loses the space as well. In order to feel secure, apparently, they literally bulldozed our pool fence—we have just invested $3,500 for a fence company to come out and install a higher quality fence. They dig 3 feet holes in the yard—they try to dig and tunnel under our sidewalk. Yes, we have working farm dogs on a regular property. We rescued the mother dog by keeping her when she showed up in terrible condition at our house ready to deliver 6 puppies. My husband fell in love with her—and I loved one of her boy puppies (hence the set of dogs). They are in a PetSafe invisible fence during the day out in the yard, and they are crate-loving babies who come in every night around dark. It was a gamble—and I’m glad I took it. They destroyed all blankets, but I can’t stand them in the crates with nothing. These are 100x better than nothing. They repel hair, water, and smell. They wash perfectly with the water hose and dry quickly. I use the pet hair sweeper over it, and all of that Collie hair practically jumps off of this bed. I could not recommend it more. I don’t think of our dogs as destructive chewers—but our boy would almost eat a woven blanket. The beds do not have any snags or parts that look good to chew on, which has been absolutely perfect. We couldn’t be more satisfied. Perfect fit for the crate. Also I really appreciate the loops for hanging on the back. No more draping over pool chairs!!We have been using two of them for about a month—will update in ) months. 100% recommend you giving this a chance! It’s always a gamble, and every dog is different. Oh, and our big boy dog comes in wet if he decides to take a dip in the pool—again, we are waiting on the fence company. The bed repels his dog + wet dog smell. They work perfectly for us!!

Fits great in my Kennel and my dog seems to love it
My GSD loves it and if his Kennel door is open he runs right in. If not he tries to nose it open just to lay in his kennel.

Super Durable!
I have a super chewer for a 4 month old German Shepard/Blood Hound puppy. If she can destroy it, she will. In fact she makes it her life mission to destroy everything she touches. I have seen her chewing on this crate mat a few times, and while I do redirect her when I see it, she has yet to even rip a seam! I was horrified when I came back from work after her first day with it that I would come back to a mess, but so far so good! I also adopted her from the shelter so she isn’t fully potty trained yet and after she peed on it it did not absorb, just wiped it down and disinfected it and there was no lingering smell or mess! Highly recommend!

Good crate pad
This is a great value for the money. Somewhat durable but no match for a crazy puppy.

No fluffy stuff to pick at!
Our Golden Retriever puppy did well for his first year with a fleece bed. Then one day he discovered he could pick at the lumpy fleece texture. Chewed a hole in the middle. We left him without a pad for a month, and hoped he'd do better with another. Nope. Chewed another hole the first night. So when I found this one, I had high hopes. It hasn't disappointed us! It's cushy and cozy, without a texture. I could see a pup picking at the raised seam or the side bolsters, but ours hasn't done that. We paid about $25 for ours, and when I went to buy another they were $40. So I'll wait a bit on that one.

Very Durable
We've been through so many dog beds that our American Bully has ripped to shreds. I bought this pad thinking that it may hold up better and it has. Because the fabric is different, he doesn't seem to want to chew on it and it doesn't tear easily under his claws. It's super easy to clean. I just use a damp soapy rag and wipe it off. Because the fabric is durable, it isn't super soft, but I put a blanket on top. I highly recommend this bed for dogs that like to tear stuffing out of traditional beds.

Will buy again
We usually buy our dog a Kong bed to go in his crate. They wear out quickly and he makes holes in the bed very quickly. This bed has lasted for two months and looks brand new. I also like how it is still fluffy and doesn’t show dog hair as badly. I will be buying these from now on.

Better for car or camping
Excellent quality, but noisy if your pup’s crate is in your bedroom. Every time our puppies moved we heard the rubbing sounds. Cotton, soft or fuzzy materials are silent. Thus, I use these in my Jeep instead.
