Hydrolyzed Beef Protein Supplement, Chocolate, 2.3 Pound

It tastes nasty I bought quick to flavor it

I am a beef isolate protein person, so I understand that it has a unique taste. But this is the worst one I have ever tried. I had to return it because of the metallic flavor.

I am a fan of this protein powder. I am dairy free so I appreciate the fact that it doesn't cause any GI issues. I've tried a lot of protein powders, vegan, collagen, and beef based. I'm used to the different taste that beef and vegan protein shakes have compared to whey based protein powder. I really like the taste of this protein powder, I've tried the vanilla so far. I usually mix coconut, flax, or almond milk with a teaspoon of organic maca root powder and glutamine. I'm not using this powder to build a huge amount of muscle, but more so for the protein content for my overall nutrition. I have celiac disease and eat paleo so I appreciate the beef over the grain/vegan protein powders. I know the reviews say it tastes and smells gross, but compared to what I've had, it's delicious and gives me the nutrients I need. I recommend this product.

This does not taste good at all. However, it mixes very well with water or coconut milk. I am considering on buying the chocolate brand, but we'll see. Hopefully it tastes better than the vanilla flavor. My wife said this smells like cow poop.

The beef protein powders in generally lead to less froth and less of a bloated feeling compared to the whey protein, so I've been trying different beef protein powders.This one is fine for use in smoothies and the test is fairly inoffensive (not very chocolate like, but not a super artificial flavor either)However...the smell is absolutely terrible. It literally smells like an actual cow when you open the container. You can mask the smell once it's mixed in to a smoothie, but between opening the container and actually mixing it, i have to do my best to not breath through my nose.If you don't mind or enjoy the smell of actual cows, this is a good buy. If you want to avoid having the room smell like a pasture whenever you use this, i'd avoid this product.

I've bought a few jugs of this product in vanilla and chocolate recently and am thrilled with it. It mixes great, tastes good, protein content per serving is awesome and there's not a bunch of artifical garbage in it. What seals the deal is my wife doesn't even know when I'm taking it. Unlike other powders that are hard to digest and she can smell me from across town. Sleeping in my own bed. Thanks Amazon! Thank you Biotech!

I have been using various types of protein powders over the last 12 years and by far this is the worse tasting product. Yes I have tried mixing it with various types of milks and fruit. I am not sure how they get that funky chemical flavor in there, but it makes it hard to drink.

I have used different beef protein powders, and this one is the best value. It does not claim to be made from grass-fed cows, and that is important to me, so it will not be my main powder. The taste is neutral enough to work fine in a smoothie with unsweetened almond milk and frozen strawberries. I need to add more sweetener, stevia, in order to make it sweet enough for me. It does have other added ingredients, but this mix does work well for me, even though I have multiple food sensitivities. The powder mixes well also.
