No there is no attachment for a counter. You may be able to use some kind of universal style counter to attach.

Q: How many feet of line does it fit in and can we use braiding lines such as Fireline?

I bought 1,097 yard spool of 65 lb Kastking and spooled 3 of my reels with it. I used all of the line, and the third reel had a little less than the other two. I would say it would probably hold 400 yards or maybe a little more
