I initially had quality issues, but this was addressed by a replacement sent free of charge. The software is still not fantastic but it won’t be for the price. A working digital microscope.

I don't normally write reviews but this particular purchase has been exceptionalFirstly, the seller has been incredibly responsive and helpful when there were postage delays because of the busy Christmas period. Every single email was answered promptly and effectively which has meant that not only was my Mother able to receive the gift in time to watch her Granddaughter's face on Christmas morning, but it took the stress away from me during such a busy (and somewhat stressful) time.The product itself is of excellent quality. Unlike a table-top microscope, this is able to leave its stand and be used on stationary objects. So far we have had great fun as a family, inspecting our fingers and parts of our skin and teeth! (It's a great way to encourage your children to clean their teeth when they see in detail what actually lurks there!)The microscope comes with a mini DVD to help with connecting to the laptop and once set up, we can turn it on and off instantly by using a link created on the desktop. The detail is actually incredible. My husband cut his finger yesterday and with the microscope we were able to see the white blood cells moving within the cut - fascinating for the children to witness how the body works to heal itself!I had reviewed lots of microscopes for my inquisitive daughter but decided to go with this one because of the 1000x magnification. It was most definitely the right decision and I think that a less powerful machine might have been a bit disappointing - this one however has exceeded our expectationsNot only are we incredibly pleased with the product, I will be returning to this seller for reliability in the future.

The camera is fine. It does what it says on the tin.The lights are harsh and not diffuse, meaning you sometimes get horrible glare, but due to the nature of the camera, it doesn't get enough light without them.The base is also a little shiny, which makes looking at any translucent materials difficult.The biggest concern, however, is the lack of software support for the camera. Windows Camera detects it, but only just. The software recommended for use works well but is a little bare-bones. Nothing else works.On mobile, you need a particular app before it is detected—otherwise, nothing.Again, the programs are NOT suspicious; they work well, but being tied to a specific software is not enjoyable to me.All in all, though, the camera performs well, and the pictures obtained are a good quality. I can work around the physical shortcomings (painting the base in black, using a separate light source), but the software compatibility risks reducing its lifespan unnecessarily.

just a few words of mine on this scope for the benefit of others before I begin let me say I am not being paid or have any connection with Jiusion.I have had this scope for just over a week and am quite surprised at the build quality, which is quite good. A very slight niggle though is that the focus ring is a bit too tight to adjust. at least it will not slip.I required the device for botanical and biological studies and it has not disappointed me.at the 1000x the red blood cells stand out like a dogs b*ll****s ( leave you to put the last word in as it may51 offend some ), control over the 8 LEDs is full and accurateA few final words to sum up great product at a great price and a supplier you can trust.

Bought as a Christmas present for my eleven year old daughter... Unpackaged and stand adjustment was suspect... The connection to a Mac does not work... Tried it with a Windows 10 laptop and had to follow instructions to basically emulate it operating in Windows XP mode... The bundled software was poor... The microscope itself would not zoom and focus properly, essentially stuck to one zoom level at a specific distance away from the subject matter... The scope wanted to focus on the lens and its scratches and flaws... Overall extremely disappointed... The full price should be £50, bought at £29 but wouldn't give you a £5 for it... Avoid

The microscope came well packed, and easy to assemble. We experimented with magnification levels on all kinds of material. The screen picture is excellent and easy to take images from a Mac. Have not used the downloadable Windows software. Have bought petri dishes but material can be used directly onto the unit or on slides. Suitable for all ages.

The distance from the observed objects (magnification 40X) is really very small not allowing space to work. The image on screen represents an area of the real object limited to a little more than the area covered by an MSOP 10 surface mount device (~ 8 x 6 mm !!!). Any magnification larger than 40X means the distance from the object needs to be reduced further. Trying to increase the distance and adjust the focus does not help. The real-time observed image is limited to VGA resolution (4:3 aspect ratio). On an 1920 x 1080 monitor the image is simply an enlarged pixelated image (and distorted to 16:9 aspect ratio ) at the same VGA (640 x 480) resolution.For any decent PCB work a different, quite more sophisticated product, is needed.!
