My hostas are no longer deer lunch
Great easy to apply product. Last summer the deer ate my hosta plants to the ground. This spring we started sprinkling this on plants as soon as they returned! Now after heavy rains and a month from last sprinkling, the deer, rabbits return to feast. A sprinkling of this and the plants are safe. Doesn’t harm animals. It’s just a smell they don’t like.

Deer Repellent
This product works for me! I have used it for a few years, with great success. I don't use much, just a light sprinkling completely around the plant or pot, but I do need to remember to reapply every few weeks or after it rains. This is only my second container in 4 years. I do not smell anything from this product. I will be using it in the snow for the first time this winter. I hope it works well because we have herds of deer that run through the yard. We do have dogs, but they sleep inside at night, so I know this stuff works! I have many plants that deer will eat or nibble and we have no fences, so I need a product that works. I do not have plants caged. I haven't found this brand in my local stores, so I tried a similar product that cost more. It did not work at all! With the other product, the deer ate everything and the dogs ate the product off the ground. This brand is awesome!

did not work to keep raccoons out of our back yard
The low rating is for it's total lack of effect on repelling raccoons, at least in our yard (Los Angeles). We have plenty of urban coyotes around, so perhaps our raccoons are too used to the smell. It does smell strongly, I can smell it from across the yard! I took a chance trying this after reading the mixed reviews about it working on some raccoons. We have at least two very large, very unafraid raccoons who have moved in to our area. I'd be fine if they'd stay out of our back yard, but they seem to enjoy the trees and perhaps killing the rats and squirrels that live up in them. They used to be nocturnal but the past few weeks this pair have started ambling around and screaming up in the trees in the middle of broad daylight too. I sprinkled the entire canister around the edges of our yard, on the other side of the garden fence that keeps our dogs from going into the tree line. Dogs were very interested, hackling at the smell. But that night, screaming raccoons again, up in our trees right above where I'd put the granules. Then of course it rains the next day. Ah well, worth a try. Going to try cayenne pepper and garlic next.

doesn't repel groundhog
I have a young/brave groundhog to deal with. It eats up hosta, tomato, and numerous flowers. The fox urine smells very awkward for me. That's why I thought it should work. But no luck, the critter is not afraid of a fox. Then I bought a cage and capture it. Don't waste your money on this. Cage is expensive, but useful if you have patience.

Easy and works!
I was surprised the odor wasn't as bad or as strong as I feared it would be, and the second day the odor was pretty much gone. I haven't seen the raccoons since I put this out, so I must assume it works. Also, my dogs did not seem to mind it in the area their pet door opens into. So easy, just shake it out.

I Felt Sorry for the UPS Man
This product was delivered to me on one of the hottest day of the year. You could smell it through the box as it sat on my doorstep! I am sure the UPS guy was glad to finally get rid of it!I read that Coyote urine would deter racoons from digging up my plants. I was really hoping this would be true. The product was easy to apply. It was marginally effective. I do not think it lasts as long as the label says it does. My landscape beds were only safe for a few days. Then the racoons came back. Maybe they figured out that there were really not any coyotes running around. Racoons are pretty smart! In short - this stuff was smelly, did not work and it was quite expensive considering I used it all in just 2 weeks. I have a lot of landscaping. And racoons. Lots of racoons.
