DonJoy® Performance Bionic™ Reel-Adjust Wrist Brace (Left, Medium/Large)

September 30, 2021 Update: Although the x small/small brace fit well around my wrist & hand, the thumb area really dug into my skin making it almost unbearable to wear for extended periods. I ended up cutting the material off around the thumb area. This made it comfortable but I lost some support to my upper hand. I finally decided to try the medium/large size for my right hand (purchased braces for both hands). Wow! What a difference in comfort. I have a very small hand and wrist, but the larger size is what I needed. I certainly would purchase these again, but in the larger size.I have tiny wrists--5.7 inches in circumference--and this brace fits comfortably and is easy to adjust. It's like magic. The brace supports your wrist yet allows freedom of movement for your fingers. I've tried so many braces that just seemed inadequate because I just couldn't get them adjusted properly or they were so uncomfortable it just wasn't worth it. This brace is awesome!!! The micro adjustment allows you to quickly make adjustments for comfort & stability. I purchased both a left & right brace and couldn't be more pleased.

I have purchased two other DonJoy products in the past 30 years - one for an ACL and one for an ankle. I still have both and they are in great shape. You have to take care of these items and not over stretch, or catch on things that could ultimately injure a string or bend a metal piece causing it to be less effective or not move/work as it should. DonJoy has excellent products and I would highly recommend this particular one for carpal tunnel. I was waking up to severe electrical pain and one night with this and it was gone. I wear it every night without issue but if I forget, I haven't had the pain come back. (I still continue to use it most nights) The numbness I was feeling is also beginning to go away. It is comfortable and adjustable. No need to have it on tight. Spend the extra money. You won't be sorry.

I like the adjustment system once you get used to it in concept. It's hard to say if the issue I encountered was due to sizing or just the design itself. I have very small hands and wrists and purchased the xs/s off measurements and past experience. It was too small, the stretchy material on the inside of the top caused too much compression and the thumb hole was also not properly placed and too small. The point where the material meets was sewn in a way that resulted in a lump that was incredibly uncomfortable. The outer portion also did not conform well to the contours of a hand and wrist, I think resulting in too much play. However, I could wear it for short periods and it did help some since it is a full hand, it does support the outside of the wrist better than most. Just disappointing overall.

I measured my wrist and hand correctly. I was measured by my physical therapist. I have very tiny hands and fingers. I ordered a small. The brace fits everywhere but the thumb hole. The thumb hole is infant sized. I have child like hands, but certainly not infant size hands. I've done everything short of ripping this thing apart to try to stretch the hole to fail miserably. On the bright side, the material is strong. All the force used to stretch this thing out, it didn't budge. It's cutting the circulation of my thumb off and cut into the webbing. I have a pretty painful cut now from how tight this thing is. Whoever sized this thing needs fired and to find a new career.

Designed for a desk jockey. I work with my hands , I wear wrist braces and guards when I mountain bike and ski. . My other brand and pair was 6 years old- the Velcro was starting to fail, so I tried these. Boa has a good name with sporting equipment and licking strap system. The boa straps worked great per usual. BUT the rest of the wrist brace was definitely a hazard as you can see from the picture. The flap for the metal brace is open and won’t close. I better get my money back and go with the less expensive models that lasted 6 years. These are a lawsuit waiting to happen!!

Certainly sized very small... that's misleading...But the large fits my petite wrists and for me it's an Excellent brace.

Wrist brace was ordered after carpal tunnel diagnosis. Helps in keeping wrist straight to avoid additional inflammation. Easy to put on and adjust. Love the BOA style. Make sure to use the size guide when ordering for perfect fit

This is an amazing product. I love that you can adjust the tension to apply more or less support using the BOA knob. The extra metal brace insert is perfect in the event that you fall as it still supports the wrist bu doesn't get in the way since it's on the under part of the wrist area. Side note that you can remove the metal insert. It's been great for my soccer games and has helped my wrist stay secure during falls. I broke my wrist in 2 places and got the DR to release me to play 12 weeks later. This has been my go to brace even 5 months after the break. It's comfortable and safe to play with in team sports because it's soft and won't hurt anyone if you accidentally have contact with the person. I highly recommend this product. Make sure to hand wash and air dry so the binding threads don't get damaged. See first pick for the binding threads image.
