It works great for heavy flow and is comfortable
I have a really heavy menstrual flow the first few days of my period (my mother said she did too, guess it's a genetic thing). Tampons are pretty much useless with heavy flow, wearing an overnight pad during the day is ridiculously bulky and uncomfortable. Menstrual cups can hold a lot between changes, so I decided to give them a go.I've tried the DivaCup that I found at the local drugstore, but then I saw this Venus Cup that can hold more. The DivaCup has more of a V shape, whereas the Venus Cup is more of a U shape, which gives the Venus Cup more capacity. I thought it might feel uncomfortable with the U shape, but it's not, it sits up high enough where you don't know it's there and it's got a nice soft silicone material. It definitely suctions in place to prevent any leaks. I got the Venus Cup Starter Kit so I could try both sizes, but so far I've just used the larger size and it's worked fine. The cups come with nice canvas-type bags to store them in, and I received a booklet that has detailed instructions, FAQ and even troubleshooting tips. That's super awesome for a first-timer--honestly, after looking through the booklet, you'll pretty much be an expert on menstrual cups--it's that amazingly useful.Since I've used a menstrual cup before, I personally didn't even need the instructions-- just opened the box, rinsed off the cup, and popped it in no problem--but again, I'd used a menstrual cup before. The first time I'd ever tried using a menstrual cup was a different story! The main things I need from a menstrual cup are large holding capacity with no leaks and that the cup is comfortable. I also want the cup to last a long time so that it pays for itself with the money I don't spend on pads or tampons. This is made from high-quality silicone that can stand up to boiling, so I get the feeling it's going to last a long time (booklet says it could last 10 or more years). Also, the Venus Cup material has a purple color that stays true, unlike the clear DivaCup that starts turning yellow after one or two uses. What else can I add? Oh, the shipping was very fast, I received it 2 days after ordering (on a Saturday) even though I don't have Amazon Prime. It works for me and is comfortable, so I can highly recommend the Venus Cup if you are searching for a menstrual cup to buy.

Perfect for high cervix!
I struggled with the Diva cup (both sizes) on and off for several years. The cups were personally too hard for me and would migrate so high up I had an extremely hard time removing the cup. Not to mention that the rims seemed to push on my bladder and no matter how small I'd try to squish the cup on removal, it was painful!Fast forward to quarantine and I decided to give menstrual cups a try again. I did a ton of research and while the quiz on the Put a Cup In It website suggested the Lily cup for my high cervix (which I didn't realize was a thing until I found that website!) the Lily cup sadly ended up being just too soft and getting a good seal every single time is difficult. (Though when I did manage to get a good seal the Lily cup was great!)Since the Lily cup experience was so-so for me I kept searching and that's when I found the Venus cup on Menstrual cup previews website and decided to try the starter kit as the price was perfect for both sizes.I love it!I haven't tried the small size as my flow this month was super heavy. At first I was leery by how big the large appears but once I get it in and into the right place it fits perfectly. Weird thing about it though is for every other cup I've tried I always use the 'Punch Down' fold. However, for me and the large Venus cup, the only fold that works is the 'C' fold. Go figure!? I don't always feel or hear the pop of the cup opening but this cup was easier for me to nudge back and forth and up and down and every time I gave it a chance it did open up properly and make a seal for me with not much extra effort or having to remove it and try again. Also I was leery about the big round base of it and expected it to push on my bladder or feel uncomfortable. It's not the case! It's also not difficult for me to grab the base of and break the seal. With my high cervix this cup, because of its size, doesn't travel so far up that it's difficult to get out. I don't trim the stem at all and can find the cup easily (REMEMBER NEVER PULL THE CUP OUT BY THE STEM! IT'S JUST TO HELP YOU FIND THE CUP TO REMOVE AND ALSO SHIFT THE CUP INTO PLACE AFTER INSERTING!)The rim is much softer on this cup than the Diva's and though the Venus is larger, it is not near as painful to remove as the whole cup itself is a bit softer in feel than the Diva (though nowhere near as soft as the Lily cup)I'm still learning this whole process but I have to say that 9 out of 10 times I have gotten the Venus large in, opened properly, gotten a good seal and had no leaks! It holds a lot and it great for us super heavy flow ladies.I'm very glad I tried this cup and I think it may definitely be the one!Every woman's body is different and what works for me may not work for you but if any of the issues I've mentioned or comparisons to other cups sound similar to you then this cup might be the ticket for you as well. Also as a side note, after purchasing the cup I got 2 separate emails from the Venus cup company through Amazon, one with a separate .pdf of the instruction manual (which by the way is the best I have seen for ANY cup! It's full of great info!) and the second email was just reaching out to make sure everything was okay and seeing if I was happy with the cup/had any questions. While most of the time I get a bit annoyed by this kind of email, I found this really nice of the company to do. Especially in making sure I had an extra manual! You rarely get that sort of extra treatment and I appreciated their effort.
