Awesome little Axe
I use this to make smaller pieces out of my fire wood. It works like a charm.

Great Hatchet
I am helping clear trails that are a tangle of trees from a winter storm. I use the hatch to “rescue” my chainsaw when the bar gets pinched. I didn’t realize a tree limb I was cutting was under compression until it was too late and stuck. The hatchet is sharp, and the handle is long enough to use with one or two hands. The yellow head and handle make it stand out when I drop it on the ground (I paint everything I use in the woods orange). The steel held its edge and did not get nicked while I was chopping at the limb. My new hatchet is a great purchase .

Beauty Hatchet
Great looking quality and a beauty. Hate to start using it, but should last for decades. Germany. Good stuff.

Wonderful hatchet but broke handle in first use.
I bought this hatchet because I need a hatchet to cut some branches and really use around the property, but here is what I found compared to other hatches that I had.The Cons:The hatchet broke its handle in the first use, and I used it as an ordinary hatchet and never it the handle in any piece of wood. It just snapped right on the blade. Maybe the eye is too small for this blade. The blade is heavy. This can be a bless, but it is too heavy for the handle, and it does have a small eye, the reason I think why it broke the handle.Expensive for the qualityThe Pros:It comes sharp out of the box.It comes with a blade cover. It is heavy. The workmanship is excellent, and the quality is greatConcluding, the hatch is of superior quality workmanship. It does, however, have an issue with the handles and should be used with care, or it will snap on the weakest spot, right at the eye of the blade.

Great, sturdy tool!
High quality, sturdy tool. All you can ask for in such a product. The big sticker they put on it was a bit of a nuisance though.

Work in progress
Taking a shot at making tool handles. Needed a hatchet for some greenwood prep.I liked the profile, slightly bearded if you use your imagination.Dull out of the box and I misplaced the cover (not to sad about the later if you know what I mean). Good handle mount. The yellow makes it easy to find on my work bench ;). It took me half an hour to get all the stickers off :(.Little experience with axe sharpening (the right way anyhow). Just FYI, not general recommendation - Couple hours of YouTubes and a new file and I have a narrower edge profile and am halfway to a useably sharp edge…Handle length good I think and overall weight probably perfect for short chopping cuts I’m doing.Takeaway - out of the box this might be fine to muscle through small limbs. But as with most new axes I’d plan to work the edge up.

Worth twice the price.
Outstanding well made tool. Craftsmanship materials come together to create a hatchet comprable to others costing twice as much or more. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again . It a legacy that should serve several generations.

Good Little Hatchet
I really like this hatchet. It has a good heft to it without being cumbersome. Cuts well. Just has a nice feel to it. I use it for de-limbing small trees and skinning bark off. I like the look of it too. Well made. Would definitely recommend.
