This kindle is by far the greatest gift I've thoroughly enjoyed in such a long time! I am a homeschool mom with only 2 doing lessons and the other two small and mostly listen to read alouds....if any "schooling" is done in a day. Anyways, the ease of use and the speed...and also the page turner buttons make this my "go to" device almost every time I need to find a book to read for my own education or inspiration, but I also go to grab my oasis when reading my ebooks to the children as well! I've noticed this kindle has the option for listening to read alouds on Audible as well. (Not sure if u can add your own read alouds from other sources yet.) The device is definitely a lot easier for me to hold and handle with only one hand. Through the last few years now I have had one of the seriously older kindles with the gorilla glass screen, I've purchased the kids edition tablets, a kindle fire hdx 10 inch I believe, the kindle fire 8, and also I purchased a kindle paperwhite a couple years ago that I used more often than the others because the screen was made to feel more like reading from a book instead of a tablet. Staring at a computer, android tablet or kindle fire tab, and even a smart TV for several hours a day can cause SEVERE headaches and even migraines. Since I've been using my oasis, I don't have the migraines any longer and I also just realized that my hands don't cramp anymore either from holding the device up for long periods of time while lying in bed resting or BONUS: no cramps while reading in the tub either with my new waterproof oasis! This device is definitely an ebook readers DIAMOND....in every since of the word! Its lightweight, stylish, has many options for changing layouts, fonts, margins, etc.....At the end of the day after carefully thinking about purchasing either a voyage or an oasis....Those few extra dollars won't be missed if u decide to splurge a little... but I can't promise you won't be missed....hmmmm...what do I mean you wonder? Well, if u are anything like me....you will find each and every opportunity to sneak a few moments to read another chapter from your current novel or, maybe check out a few pages in a magazine you are subscribed to.....and lets not forget we can also start reading something in an entirely different genre just to spice things up a bit in your own life from time to time! Amazon's book lists are virtually limitless!

I just installed one of these on my new Kindle Oasis and I have to say that I was very nervous before beginning the installation because of some of the bad reviews and an installation video's reference to corner fits and edge pieces. The Oasis' shield had neither of those to worry about (not a full body protector), and the shield's fit was not so precise that there wasn't a little room for leeway; all that was necessary was to ensure that the cutouts for the page turn buttons were positioned properly and that no edges were hanging off of the edge of the device. Having read reviews about problems arising from not using enough solution, I decided to use very liberally. The whole process was a snap! This was the easiest to install protector I have ever used and after finishing there isn't the tiniest bubble in sight - the screen protector has all but vanished. I am extremely happy with this product and will be looking for ArmorSuit products in the future every time I want to apply a screen protector to a device.

Since I shelled out enough money on the Oasis, I want to protect my screen. I’ve never purchased a screen protector for an e-reader before, and I was a little leery of it, but the feel and look of this screen protector actually improved my Oasis! I wasn’t a huge fan of the glass screen as it had a slight glare and showed fingerprints badly. But now with my new ArmorSuit, it feels more like the Paperwhite screen (which I had previously), and fingerprints don’t show at all! Installation was a breeze; no peeling corners or wonky edges. While I haven’t done an immersion test, coffee and water drops don’t seem to phase the screen protector either (important because I am a fan of reading in the bath). Overall, I’m super pleased...hopefully it holds up over time and continues to perform like it has so far!

This protector is like a plastic sheet that you peel and stick onto your kindle. They give you an application solution to spray on it and then you stick it on and squeegee out the bubbles. I wasn’t expecting it to be flexible- I thought it would be a hard sheet. A week after I applied it with no bubbles, they appeared. I haven’t re-squeegeed it and I don’t plan it because I don’t want to mess it up. I’m just living with the bubbles. So far it’s working and I haven’t had any cracks. It took 2 years before my last screen cracked so we would be waiting awhile for that review.

The protector fits well. Was a challenge to install well, but aren't they all?
