I've always bought the much smaller notebooks but this one being bigger of course gives you much more room to sketch - much much more than you'd expect from just doubling the size. I feel much more free to expand my drawings.

I creat artworks professionally and enjoy the sturdiness of the Moleskine sketchbooks, generally I prefer the A5 for work in the field but I have used this for a number of larger sketches which are set pieces. The paper in the sketchbooks is generally good and great for acrylic ink washes providing a degree of texture which doesn’t overwhelm the piece, the paper in this book is a good quality and I like the fact that it has a harder surface and is a little lighter at 190gsm compared to some heavier watercolour papers which are more like blotting paper and too soft for pen work. Some do complain about Moleskine’s paper but I have only ever experienced that once and their customer care was excellent. This isn’t a pocket size book indeed it won’t fit most bags so it is less easy to use and if you are a beginner may be a little more daunting. Moleskine’s books are always stylish with a great design representing good value for money on their terms.

I use this product for artwork. This is my second book and it really is excellent for my purposes. The paper is absorbent enough but doesn't bleed through to the reverse. I use ink, gouache, acrylic and watercolour and the paper is excellent for those mediums. The cover is quite sturdy and protects the artwork. It has a handy elastic to keep the book closed and the inside rear has a handy paper pocket for notes, sketches etc. I would recommend this product for someone who needs a watercolour, pen and ink, light acrylic paint pad. The A3 size is great for larger creations.

Good paper from both sides of the sheet. Durable, sturdy and sleek. Enjoyable to use every time

Pages broke away from spine with first use but the paper is okay.

This is ideal for quick sketches and the quality is really good. The elastic is useful for securing your pen.
