Very good quality compared to other suppliers.
Well made , with consideration of quality. Blades are very sharp. Must pay attention when using. Wear a sharps glove. Will buy other products from this manufacturer.

Good value in a beginner's set
The Flexcut knives are great for beginning carvers like me, and this set offers pretty much everything you need short of a leather strop- and you can make that yourself from an old belt, a piece of wood, and glue. I use mine for carving walking sticks and the occasional crude sculpture, but I'm hoping this will improve with practice ;-).The trick to keeping these knives cutting well is to give them a quick strop every time you use them, and never try to pry or lever wood out- Flexcut uses a fairly hard spring steel that delivers a very fine edge but that won't hold up to that kind of use. Use gentle pressure and let the knife do the work. If it hangs up, take smaller or shallower cuts. Flexcut's polishing compound contains a mix of polishing and cutting grits and is ideal for steel this hard, but if you chip the edge you may have to have it reground. If you're more into whittling than carving, you might consider the two-knife set, which has the detail knife and the mini detail knife; I plan on purchasing the mini-detail knife and Flexcut's small canvas tool roll, and that should give me a four knife set that will do pretty much everything I need.

Serious tool. Needs maintenance, of course.
These were amazing right out of the package, but naturally needed to be stropped within about 30-40 minutes. That's pretty good, considering what I was carving with them. They're very good for what they're intended for. I advise to consider that they're an excellent value, and will last forever when taken care of, so maybe not a good choice for a starter set to abuse while learning. That's up to you though. They take a very fine edge, and hold it as long as can be expected. Even after carving for hours, the mirror finish was still there. Keep the edge aligned, and they probably won't need to be sharpened ever again.

These are great quality starter knives.!!
Decided to get into wood carving(whittling) and ordered a set of knives similar to these on Temu tried them and was very disappointed so I ordered this set of Flex Craft knives and comparing the tools is like night and day. I did read that when choosing tools for wood carving one should buy only good quality tools and believe me they were right these knives fit your hand so much nicer and hold an edge perfectly if there stropped as needed didn't need any sharpening out of the package there good and sharp wear gloves if your new to wood carving and you'll have no problems. Can't forget to mention there made in U.S.A.

Great knives
This is my second set of knives. The first set were a little cheaper that's why I got them. The first set would not hold an edge and never seemed shape enough. I'm very much a beginner and before giving up I decided to try a better set of knives. I'm glad I did , these are great knives and are easy to sharpen and hold the edge good. I would recommend these to anyone starting out.
