Butter dish cream color looks good with my kitchen decor. It's good quality as well.

This replaced a glass butter dish which barely fit a thin stick of butter. The sides were always covered in butter. This one has a large compartment and hides the butter mess from view. It is large enough for both east and west coast sized sticks of butter. Love the knob on top to remove the cover. A bit pricey, but worth it. Wish I'd ordered this one first.

We had a different one that broke recently. It was lighter and cheaper. I like the heft and look of this one better. It seems better made.

Just as pictured, which is what I was hoping for. I ordered the white and it is gorgeous. Every bit as nice as the typical high-end home furnishing stores or high-end kitchen stores.

I got this as a present for my roommate who had a butter dish that was too small for the "western" fatter butter cubes, and its lid had sloped sides with no knob or any easy to grip it. The roommate kept it on the counter to keep the butter soft (as I do too), but it was constantly a mess due to it's incorrect size, and the fact he kept mashing the lid into the butter itself.This butter dish solved all those issues. I ordered the white version.The reason I marked it down to 4 stars overall is that the lid shows some minor gaps on the ends where it meets the plate. I suspect it may have shrunken during the firing on the ends a bit too much. Otherwise it fits well over the raised ridge on the bottom plate, so it is 100% usable -- just a little cosmetic issue.The plate is flat and there is no rocking as mentioned in reviews for some other butter plates I considered. The lid is stable and does not rock on the plate either.The weight of it proves that it is a porcelain dish -- it is not lightweight like some others that are low-fired earthenware/dolamite some of which are NOT dishwasher safe. This one is, and should handle the odd knock against other dishes better (without chipping) due to it being stronger high-fired porcelain.

This is my second time purchasing this same dish, in different colors. Both colors are exactly as described. A family member commented how much they liked mine, so I bought another as a gift. I’ve had my original dish for several years. It holds the large stick of Kerrygold perfectly! I leave my dish on the counter and always have soft butter.

This butter dish is sleek, heavy and attractive to put on the dinner table. I believe this will last many years.

I love my new butter dish. I purchased the timeless white, although there are other fun colors to choose from to jazz up your kitchen countertop. It works perfectly with the soft butter easy to access and easy to cover as well. I recommend this beautiful and sleek butter dish.
