VallejoRAF Day Set Model Air Paint, 17ml

Paint flows well, covers well and is easy to clean up. I do suggest Vallejo flow improver to prevent any clogging in certain air brushes.

Great coverage for spraying. No need to thin.

PRU Pink would not dry. PRU Blue did not dry well. I find Vallejo to be inconsistent, whether that is Vallejo or how long they have been on the shelf is unknown. Similarly, their satin varnish worked well out of one bottle, the second one frosted. I've ruined one model with PRU pink, and now have to try and save another after the satin varnish frosted. Suggest that if you buy you test any color you want to use before committing. I put this at 2 because at least one bottle is unusable. When their paint works its very nice.

The paint set received from the seller is the correct paint set number BUT its the old Vallejo set. The paints in the old set are different from the new set that is listed in the product photo.

This will be a very similar review to the one that I posted on the Vallejo Battle of Britain set, because the same points apply! Although designed primarily for airbrush use, I'm having lots of success using these for brush-painting. Not nearly as thick and potentially 'claggy' as other acrylic paints designed to be brushed on, and because Vallejo paints are completely water-based, it's very easy to thin them and also clean the brushes. Opacity is good, and the colours seem to be very accurate. Also very good value when bought in a set like this. Recommended!
