LG 6615JB2005R Refrigerator Defrost Sensor Assembly Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Part

I was a several hour job to defrost the refrigerator (the coil in the refrigerator compartment behind rear wall frosted solid within a few days and frost started building up inside the refrigerator compartment) and remove that inside rear panel to access the old sensor. Once done, it took literally minutes and a zip tie to replace the sensor. Once reassembled, the refrigerator has functioned normally for a couple of months now. Definitely $hundreds cheaper than a repairman. This requires some average do-it-yourselfer knowledge and tools and some effort and patience (a couple of hours defrosting with fans and heat gun without overheating surrounding plastic).

like someone else said had to splice the wires to make it fit , not even close to OEM .

I had an issue with TWO of Amazon's recommended parts (sent me a dishwasher flow valve) from another seller and bought this to get my Fridge back to defrosting correctly. Everything fit as expected EXCEPT that the wire connecting to the thermistor was about 1" too short. I still installed it and affixed the sensor a bit differently from stock, hoping it'll still work right...Seller: if you have any pull with your distributor, the sensor that's in the "white plastic cage" needs another 1" added to the wire length....

Part was bad ot of the bag. This part cast me a lot of money by being bad. Being a new part you wouldn't think it's bad so I started changing other part to come back to this part and it's bad. Not a happy customer 😡

Fit very good in the refrigerator.

My order came a day earlier which was great as I had the refrigerator defrosted and ready for part install. the pigtail was about 1-2 inches short to locate the thermostat the correct location, I just zip tied it close. Thanks for the speedy delivery amongst all the COVID virus ciaos

Item works the technician had to cut off the new plug end and put. In the old one to get it to work on Fridge. But the fridge is Coldingham now top and bottom.
