Worth the trade off
First and foremost, the cymbal stands are awesome. Incredibly light-weight and very sturdy. I actually thought I'd have more of an issue with the cymbal stands, since they are not booms, but I configured the positions to work fine. The Snare stand does well, but it wobbles a bit (using a 13x7 snare). The hi-hat is the issue: this one took a ton of weight out of my bag (my HD Tama one weighs 5x the Crosstown), but the tension is just not what I'm used to. I've played this out for two months now and I needed to switch to a standard light weight Yamaha stand to at least get the action I need. The Crosstown stand just doesn't open and close with the accuracy I desire. Still, the package saves my back some effort!

Light weight stands. Very easy to move
The stands are very light. Comes with a travel bag. Plenty of space in the bag for rack Tom mount and stick bag.

1/2 the space and 1/4 the weight of my old hardware
These are amazing. I can now move my entire drum set from my car to a gig in 2 trips because my hardware takes up about 1/2 the space and 1/4 the weight that it used to. I can carry this in one hand or wear it on my back. There is a little extra room in the bag, so I can fit my throne stand and tom tom mount in there too. At some point I plan to buy another Yamaha Crosstown cymbal stand, and it will fit in their too. Each stand has an individual sleeve within the bag so that they don't knock together, so my stands are not all scratched up. Everything folds down nice and compact with nothing sticking out, so the bag should last a long time too. The hi-hat stand is especially impressive with the way the pedal folds up under the legs so that it won't puncture anything or get bent or broken. If you need a standard drum kit setup with light weight and a small footprint, this is the way to go. The quality and convenience are worth the price.

WHOW!!
Ok, so I'm a touring drummer that usually uses a rack system, but when I'm doing in town gigs I hated taking my 150llb hardware bag . Totally sucked I'm in my 50's can't lug that crap around anymore. So I did my research and bought these. I could have gotten them straight from yamaha butI didn't want to wait till the end of june. I guess there very popular because my guy at yamaha said they were back ordered. Anyway, just used them on a gig this weekend. I was totally impressed. I actually like the hi hat stand better than my touring one. The stand are awesome. Very sturdy. Trust me I was trying to knock one over all night LOL drummers !! I think they are awesome. Took my back from 150lbs with the exact same gear to 20lbs. AWESOME

HIGHLY recommended
LOVE these lightweight stands! I bought an extra cymbal stand so I have 3 total cymbal stands. All of these stands fit into the provided bag and it's unbelievably light to carry. They are well made, solid craftsmanship: sturdy. Less trips to move equipment and no back pain! I've been a professional drummer for over 40 years. HIGHLY recommended.

Light and strong
I went from double braced; heavy metal stands to single braced stands as I'm getting older and carrying heavy gear to gigs. Now I have all the hardware in a lightweight bag. What a difference! This stuff doesn't sacrifice durability. The only thing you won't have are cymbal booms. I've been mounting the ride off the tom mount on the bass drum so these work just fine.

Great product for someone my age (or any age) wanting to lighten their load.
I was recently diagnosed with a frozen shoulder (capsulitis) and bursitis. I was lifting an 80 pound trap case into and out of my car and it could have damaged my shoulder. At age 73 I don't want to lug around heavy equipment so I bought a smaller drum kit and recently these great lightweight stands. It is just what the doctor ordered. I don't want to quit playing so hopefully these stands will reduce some of the stress from heavy stands and add years to my performing.

Almost a keeper.
The hi hat stem was practically to short. It almost didn’t hold my hats. The legs seem sturdy, but bulky between hat, snare and thrown legs. Cymbal stands seemed to be sturdy enough. It most definitely made a huge difference weight wise. Super light! Much easier loading. I like that the snare stand opened to 15” diameter. All in all, I sent it back after the first gig. I don’t think the hit hat pedal will have a long enough lifespan for the price. At least a little longer at stem would help. I may repurchase the snare stand, because I have a 15” snare I like to use. I just ordered a DW ultralight boom stand too. So…
