Paint like a Pro
I painted my garage that was new build drywall. The sq footage was around 1750 and I used 5gallon of Valspar white primer. I was able to spray on heave because the drywall really soaked up the paint. I did prep the walls by sanding the seams and screw heads in addition to some additional fill. The Wagner SprayTech performed great, I was able to spray the walls and celling at 25% of the cost of wat the contractor wanted to charge. This is a easy to operate, cleanup is fast and easy to take apart clean , I used water and a scotch bright scrubber to remove all the overspray. One thing to remember with this sprayer you must keep the spray nozzle free of buildup when using latex paints. Just a quick wipe and the spray is controlled and uniform. My new neighbor came over to see the finished project and my brother-in-law already borrowed the Wagner to paint his new 4wheeler shed!.For the money this is a great spray painter for fence, flat walls and can be used for all types of paint and stain. The only drawback is it does create a lot of overspray. I did mask off garage door, tracks, opener & chain drive but the results were professional. Even my wife was impressed! That means everything!

A Great buy
Though it states "easy to clean", it does take about 30 minutes of time to ensure it's cleaned right. But really easy. It's fairly lightweight too. I'm a 67 year old gal that has time to do stuff I've not done, and this made it fun, once I taped and prepped my real wood siding. I swore I wouldnt risk the globs and running that sprayers seem to do, but with the simple settings, great, clear color instructions, THIS IS HOW instructions should be written. The container volume is perfectly timed for giving me a needed break...otherwise it's just too long on a ladder, or to keep your arm in the position to spray. Cord is long, hose is long and it just made it possible to do alone. I happily recommend this product!

Gets the job done
I sprayed an entire basement with this thing saved me hours of time. Remember there is no perfect gun, as it comes down to technique. If somethings happening you don’t like, it’s likely you. For a paint gun, cleaning was a breeze. It takes time but much easier than cleaning brushes and rollers. Overspray will depend on your paint. I found thinker paints tend to make more of a mess. I was using valspar 2000 and beare i300. i300 was thinner and made it so much easier to spray. You can thin your paint if you notice it’s too thick. Lost a star because a small plastic piece locks the handle orientation to the spray/paint container. Without it, the paint container will flop counter clockwise if you rotate the gun. I’m sure they will replace the part, but still through a wrench in my project.

Perfect and Easy for any Handy Person
Bought a second one of these for another home we have. The unit did an amazing job on finishing new doors. For a finer finish, go with several light thinned coats. For latex paint, I used the recommended Wagner Paint Easy thinner and it worked great.Sprayer has a very flexible 15 foot air tube tube, and 2 speeds, and the separate air turbine unit makes the sprayer head a lot lighter than the ones with the power unit built in to them. The air flow is very smooth and consistent.Check the sprayer nozzle regularly and wipe it clean as with latex especially you will get some build up on the nozzle outlet and around the two air holes on each side. Dismantling/cleaning the head is easy.Practice a bit on some scrap materialsOther than that,Wagner has a good set of instructions and there is a detail sprayer head available that I have purchased. One question-I have not seen anywhere the replaceable air filters for sale, so Wagner will get a call on this.

HUGE TIME SAVER
This is my second purchase of this same unit....if U keep it clean it will perform wonderfully...I do not thin my latex paint ever and it sprays without clogging. I have been very happy with the performance; but, if U do not keep the nozzle clean and use as instructed it can give U a headache. Always relieve the pressure from the container before removing nozzle assembly. I am in FL and I believe that the humidity and air temperature play a huge part. 70 with dry air and it seems to spray perfect all day!

Really a great investment
I was skeptical about electric spray painters, i had a bad experience with one, this one is everything you can dream about, the equipment is easy to use, easy to assemble(no tools require, the handle comes separated from the tank for space)And pretty much easy to clean, yes, you have to be careful since is not indestructible, in order to get the machine to work properly, you have to clean it after every use with mineral spirits,(do not use gasoline or lacquer thinner, it will destroy the machine)Other than that, i used it for straight 4 days and still working, work with oil and water base paint, you can also use stainsATTENTION, this is not a professional equipment, is suitable for home projects and medium duty projects,

A headache
I spent an hour reading the information and putting it together. Spent 15 minutes on the phone with a tech. Couldn't resolve any issues. It spurted paint at my table. The technician said it wasn't for fine furniture and would not have a smooth finish. After all of this I spent more than an hour trying to clean it up. The paint stuck on the outside of the sprayer like glue. I'm afraid to get another, so my patio furniture, that I spent 6 hours sanding and prepping will probably go to the goodwill. I returned it.

Great little device. Makes job quick and easy.
Just finished painting two outbuildings. One is an 8' x 10' garden shed and the other is a matching 12' x 30' workshop. Started at 10 AM and finished at 2 PM with a short break for lunch and quite a few "sit & rests" as the temperature neared 80 degrees here in Florida. The Wagner HVLP device worked like a charm and is pretty darn quiet. Lays down paint nicely. You do have to remember to wipe the paint buildup at the spray tip to prevent blotching but that is normal with any spray device. Great little device. I'd recommend it to anyone.
