Bought this dremel to try and do a tidier job of my dogs nails. My dog was 6 when I started so I had to do alot of desensitisation as the noise is fairly loud. However she now lies on her side and lets me dremel her nails. This product does a really nice job and is very powerful so you don’t have to spend a lifetime on each nail. Battery life is amazing. It does take a while to get good at using a nail dremel but well worth the time as my dogs nails are show worthy now.

Good performance, but a little light of features
Works well, however there are a couple of negatives. First, it runs on 4 AA batteries, which is less convenient than rechargeable (in my opinion). There are only 2 speeds (slow and slightly quicker). Have only managed the slow speed as the dogs think I am about to angle-grind their paws off and run for the hills. When I eventually corner them the device works quite well, but does create clouds of stinky claw dust, and they still tremble and try to get away - it is like putting a jumper on an octopus!BUT the positives outweigh the negatives, it is much less daunting than clippers and you are much less likely to draw blood. I would recommend for dogs who hate traditional nail clippers.

Amazing
Another great dremel product, but for pets !! It takes the dog a bit of use to get comfortable using . But very helpful to save money on trips to the groomers

Very clever and efficient, but extremely loud, heavily vibrating and uncomfortable to operate
It is a tale of two parts with almost diametrically different conclusions. The kit comprises essentially two elements:1. AT02-PGK Pet grooming Nail Guard - a general-purpose accessory suitable for most Dremel (and Bosch) grinding tools2. A custom motor and battery enclosure baseNow, part (1) operate brilliantly and offers a very simple, convenient, fast, safe and tidy way to trim nailsPart (2), on the other hand, is a cheap knock-off not worthy of the Dremel brand. It is poorly fitting plastic, cheap ungeared motor. When running (even at Low speed), it is extremely loud and vibrates noticeably making the procedure uncomfortable for both human and the pet. Our dog is scared of it and categorically refused to participate. We have Bosch GRO 12V-35 at home which fits the nail guard perfectly (not surprising as Bosch owns Dremel and their fittings are standartised). In this combination, it works wonderfully, quiet, fast (GRO 12V-35 is way more powerful than this toy motor), etc.So, from my point of view I will throw out the motor and use the nail grinding attachment (or return the whole kit and buy just a standalone AT02-PGK.

Good but!
I have had other cheaper models of this and been unhappy. I was also worried about the noise level.Good product does the job for my dogs who are small. The noise levels are not too loud and my dogs take no notice.I would say overall great for home nail clipping. One thing does not work for me and that’s the see through plastic shied, this is no good whatsoever for small dog paws, as I’m fairly experienced I take the guide off and use without, which works for me!Also I seemed to think that this was either mains or rechargeable but it is in fact battery so obviously you will need to keep replacing. It is obviously easier if you can cut the dogs nails first and then use this to finish off and also I find it more difficult for the back and definitely not for the dew claws on the front inside of the dogs feet.Overall for me and experienced user it’s good.

Battery Compartment Issue - 2 Purchased Both Broke Down
I have purchased two of these in the last six months, the 1st broke down with clips breaking in the battery compartment however I decided to overlook that as it may have been a handling error by my adult daughter, however the 2nd one I purchased in August 2024 has already broken down, again in the battery compartment area. It states in the handbook that if you are not going to be using the item for a prolonged period of time to remove the batteries, I do not consider 1 week (7 days) to be a prolonged period of time however I found the battery compartment has broken down again with significant signs of corrosion, Very Disappointed as Dremel is a household name which is why I bought the 1st one and even gave them a 2nd Chance. Poor manufacturing of the Battery compartment area, not sure if either of the actual devices will work even if I manage to fix the battery compartment issue

Dog hates it!
I’ve given this 5 stars based on the fact it is a very good rotary tool. Our puppy absolutely hates it though. She can’t stand the noise, screams when the tool touches her claws (haven’t got as far as trying to grind her claws), so it has been banished to my workshop 😁.

It does take a while, if you have a big dog, but good device overall
I used it once, and it took me about five minutes to do three nails. My dog is very fussy as well so I ended up sending it on eBay because it won’t take too much time and I prefer just using the scissors instead. If you’re not bothered by spending 20–30 minutes for all four paws, then this is a great choice. If you do it regularly, I suppose it can take less than that.
