OpenWRT guys nailed it. What a great router
Great router.I've been using OpenWRT for the last 15 years and this was the most fun I ever had setting one up.Serial console out of the box, U-Boot, switchable dual flash, uart, tftp, what more can you ask.I'm using this one as a router/firewall with WiFi off so I can't speak about WiFi performance but she runs cool in her aluminium case and fast as blazes.I ordered an NVMe SSD drive for it which gets here next week - will add that as a log storage. Now I can't wait for one or two of my other AP devices to croak so I can get some more of these to replace them with.So glad OpenWRT guys did it. Got the hardware features right at a great price point - Just love this thing

1st party operating system updates and LTS expected
Really solid build quality, and solid performance. It's epic to have '1st party' support for this. Since it was commissioned by the developers of openwrt, to be built by banana pi. The hard-wade was hand chosen for openwrt, so it has the best compatibility you can get

Awesome little router, gaming router speeds at a 3rd of the price
This is the real deal, if you were worried about it being from a seller not mentioned on OpenWRT's website. It already has the latest build of OpenWRT on it and ready to go out of the box with very little setup! Way faster than your average $40 router, probably just as fast as a $300 router at a 3rd of the price. I can actually make use of the full bandwidth of my internet service now, and have the option to add open source features as needed.

Works great on Spectrum, IPv6 fully supported, got my full 500 Mbit/sec speed
Came assembled and ready to use. Works fine out of the box with Spectrum cable. IPv6 support is perfect. I am getting my full 500 Mbit/sec on A-band. Came with OpenWrt 24.10.0-rc2 which can be upgraded. This device has all the features of a normal WiFi router, plus a lot of detailed configuration options you would not normally get. It is also a mini-Linux box you can ssh into. It's a Busybox/Dropbear environment with about 200 megabytes free.
