Works well, easy to set up
Bought this for my son and he like this one because easy to set up and use for stream. Works perfect easy to use and my son can now capture her PS5 or switch games on twitch. It’s a USB 3.0 device that lets him capture video and audio from his gaming sessions in stunning 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second. It's so cool!Oh, and the Mirabox Capture Card has a feature called passthrough, which means I can connect it between my gaming console and TV without any lag or delay. That way, he can enjoy playing games on my TV while simultaneously capturing the footage on my computer. It's perfect for streaming live gameplay or creating YouTube videos. He can use a popular streaming and recording software like OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) with this capture card. It's super user-friendly and allows him to customize his streaming settings and add overlays, making streams look professional and engaging. Best of all is plug and play.

Bottom line - It works GREAT!! Get one!
I almost was thinking of getting the mainstream Elgato capture card, but i came across this product for the cost decided to try it out. I had no issues with the product in terms of setup. Windows 10 detected it flawlessly after i plugged it in. Using it in OBS also worked out like a champ. Main reason i also bought it is the fact it has MANY output resolutions. So if you're a fan of capturing retro console games all the way up to modern consoles, it works great with OBS in capturing the proper scale, or close to it. No drivers to install - plug n play.Side note - There was a audio desync issue with consoles when i first plugged it in, but that is easily correctable within windows 10 settings.Colors - You probably have to tweak the colors a bit if it seems too saturated in OBS.Latency - There is none! Audio and Video are sync'd and colors are sharp.Recommendation - Make sure you have a USB 3.0 plugged into it, or you may experience performance issues.Cons - Runs a little hot since there is no ventilation, but it has an aluminum casing for good heat dissipation. Make sure it has breathing room around it.For HALF the price of a Elgato, in my opinion this performs alot better with more options.

A little finicky but works great
The media could not be loaded. I picked this up as a means of using it for my camcorder at FGC events for my commentary cam. What I love most about it is how it is plug and play, meaning you don't need drivers, and that it is USB 3.0 (little to no latency).I did a quick quality comparison to my Avermedia 4k card just to see what I'm dealing with since no other reviews out there show it and I would honestly say that I am impressed with the results. Although it does not appear to be as clean and crisp as the avermedia when it came to quality it still is much better than I expected, especially for its price (rest of thoughts about quality in video). It is definitely a great and cheaper alternative to the El Gato HD60s (which I work with when live streaming). Now on to what the headline states. As said it does appear to be a little finicky. After finding my camcorder to test it with a few days later, I plugged everything to where they need to be and for some reason my PC would not read the mirabox. I tested the pass through on my tv and that worked but my PC just did not recognize it. I tried unplugging and plugging over and over again and nothing worked. Eventually I restarted my PC with the mirabox still plugged in and upon rebooting the PC recognized it and I could finally pull it up in OBS and Xsplit.I'm not sure what caused this or if this is the actual solution if it doesn't register right away but I'm hoping that this isn't a reoccurring problem. This is the reason for the 4 stars. One more thing, the card is a sturdy aluminum box with little to no ventilation. So although durable, it is also susceptible to getting hot. Keep out of reach of children and other objects and try to give it as much space as possible. As an alternative to the more expensive cards USB cards I definitely recommend, especially as a starting capture card for the new budding video game streamer/content creator.

Great deal. Best used with OBS, though.
I bought this to set up a quality Zoom room apart from my office (where I use a Magewell capture card) so that my wife and I could both conference in our respective businesses at home offices during the lockdown. I paired it with a mini PC and the HDMI output of one of my Sony E mount cameras. It worked without a hitch. No software needed to have the camera work, but it could use some way to tweak the image and settings, like it’s more expensive competition. However it works great with OBS, and you can use that software to adjust anything you want. It gets warm, but does not get hot like the Magewell, and it seems to use less power and be less finicky about the USB connection. This is a great buy, and I recommend it if you want to turn a camera as a professional-looking webcam.

Works As Advertised
Bought this a year ago and held off review to put this through it's paces. I primarily use this for video transfers from Satellite DVR. Works great once you figure out the nuances. For instance, I have a high end intel i7-7820x processor. But when I run the capture, any other programs, other than browser surfing, running will overload the encoder so you're pretty much limited to starting the transfer and wait till it's done. Also found that while running the capture from my Satellite DVR, even though I can browser surf, don't play any audio from another source while capturing. You can't play youtube or watch programs on your browser with audio on or else the capture device put that in your transfer with the capture audio. Games too. Basically, you must run with your computers audio muted and mute youtube, browser audio, etc. However, once you understand that, you will be very pleased with the capture. Great 1080p video and crystal clear audio! One of my better purchases as a videophile I've made of late!
