Good product at a good price
I used this to treat some hardwood garden furniture. It's come up a treat. I used a cloth to start but it was absorbing too much. It went on much better and went further with a brush. I was mighty confused by all the products on offer but this looked reasonably priced and had good reviews. It doesn't come with a load of big claims....just does what it says on the tin. I will buy this again.

Great Protection for Outdoor Furniture
I picked up this sealing oil to revive some of my outdoor furniture that had started looking a bit worn from the weather. I’ve got a mix of wooden chairs and a table in the garden, and they were in need of some serious TLC, especially with the unpredictable UK weather. I wanted something that would offer good protection from rain, sun, and general wear and tear. The application was straightforward. The oil has a nice consistency not too thick or thin which makes it easy to spread with a cloth or brush without any mess. It absorbed well into the wood, especially on older pieces that were looking dry. What I really liked is that it didn’t leave a sticky residue or overly glossy finish. Instead, it brought out the natural grain and left a lovely, subtle sheen. It gives the wood a refreshed, nourished look rather than making it look like it’s been varnished, which is exactly what I was after. After a few days, I could already tell the difference. The water now beads off the furniture instead of soaking in, and the colour looks richer, almost like when the furniture was new. It’s been a few heavy downpours since applying it, and the protection has held up well, with no signs of the wood absorbing any water. The UV protection is a nice added feature too, especially since I’ve had pieces fade in the past from being in the sun too long.I used it on some teak furniture as well as a different type of hardwood, and it worked equally well on both. The 500ml tin is more than enough to cover a few pieces of furniture, and I’ve still got some left for touch-ups later on.One small downside is that you need to reapply it fairly regularly if you want to maintain that level of protection, especially if the furniture is left out all year. It's not a “once and done” solution, but more of an ongoing treatment. That said, I’d rather take a few minutes every so often to keep things looking good than deal with replacing the furniture altogether.Overall, it’s a solid product for anyone looking to protect and restore their outdoor wood furniture or decking. It does the job well, and the results are visible almost immediately.

Breathes new life into garden furniture with ease
My garden furniture was beginning to look a bit weathered, so I turned to this excellent wood sealing oil to revitalise its natural beauty. I can't stress enough how much this straightforward application has breathed new life into my wooden benches and patio set. The fast-drying formula was remarkably easy to apply, even for someone like me who isn't always the most DIY savvy. I used a brush, and in no time, the wood had soaked up the oil beautifully, creating an elegantly warm matte finish. I’ve noticed the water now effortlessly beads off the surface during the typical Manchester drizzle. While the product claims a certain level of UV resistance, time will tell how well it performs in the summer months. My decking, especially, seems to appreciate the treatment; it looks vibrant and feels smooth. It’s a brilliant way to show a bit of care to your outdoor space without too much effort!

Great for outdoor woodwork
I am an amateur woodworker, I make small wooden furniture items including garden furniture. For for outdoor wood projects I always use a sealing oil so I thought I would try the Grain Guard brand I used it on the weekend on a large wooden planter and it has brought the grain up really well and appears to ahem sealed the wood against the weather as my other oil do. however time is the great revealer in this case and we are now going into the winter so I will monitor the condition of the wood on the planter ofver the winter and if it last well then the oil deserves the 5 stars I have given it but if it doesn't and it fades and becomes water logged etc then I will update this review accordingly. ut at this time of writing the oil appears to have worked well, it was easy to apply, I normally brush the lager areas and cloth apply the corners etc. everything went very well on the application so I think this oil is a winner to be honest.

Enhanced the appearance of my outdoor wooden furniture
[I received this product for free, in exchange for an honest review, as part of the Amazon Vine programme. That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.]I requested the ‘GRAIN GUARD Sealing Oil for Wood | 500ml | Protects Wood Against Weather & UV | for Garden Furniture & Decking’ to treat the wooden garden chairs that we have before they are stored for winter. The oil is easy to apply with a brush and it soaked into the thirsty garden furniture, easily. It remains to be seen how well it stands up to UV etc next summer, but in the meantime it has enhanced the colour of the wood and it looks richer and protected. The price of £12.99 for 500ml, at the time of this review, is reasonable. The metal container has a robust lid and will keep the unused oil in good order until I find another project for it. 5 stars.

Easy to apply soaks in quickly and looks great
Used this on my wooden gate, gives it a great finish while letting you see the natural wood finish. So easy to apply, quicker than normal paint!Soaked in quickly and has not left a stick finish, so long as you put it on in thin coats it is a easy process! If you apply too much you need to remove it so you don't get a stick residue left on the wood!
