Bit weak on flavor but other than that it’s nice and mixes well

Lovely rich chocolate flavour and a great post-workout nutritional profile
You can't beat a plain chocolate whey product, and Optimum Nutrition doesn't disappoint with this one (as you'd expect from a brand leader). It's their Gold Standard mix, which gives a very decent 25g protein per serving, but also 5.5g of that BCAAs, so it's top-notch post-workout nutrition with quite a complete profile. It mixes up perfectly with water or milk (my preferred option) with no lumps or bumps even with a hand shaker. A scoop in porridge is also delicious, and it soon dissolves in with a bit of a stir. The chocolate flavour is rich but not over-sweet, and although it's Sucralose sweetened, it doesn't suffer from the artificial aftertaste that some products do - it's a good full-bodied chocolate taste which probably helps with that. For a market leading brand with such a good nutritional profile, a 15-serving bag at around twenty-five quid is very decent value (especially compared with ready-mixed drinks). It comes securely sealed in a solid tub, and makes for an essential powder to have on rotation on the workout drinks shelf - impressed as ever with Optimum whey.

Absolutely great product absolutely shocking price
Optimum nutrition is a brand that I have heard of for many many years and has got a brand reputation synonymous with quality flavour effectiveness and generally a premium product. Now there are different types of way protein and it is for the user to do their own research as to what way suits them best given their needs the time of day of consumption and so on but the one thing that I can state is that this product is great. The flavour is great the ingredients and statistics Around protein sugar and fats is also great however the price is shockingThe price for this packet with 15 servings is over £6 per 100 g which I think is very poor value for money which is a shame for such a great product and researching on Amazon reveals it is possible for only a small amount more money you can double the net weight whilst having the price per 100 g.Purchased the product for the quality of the product to shop around for the best price first.

Delicious with milk.
The protein powder mixes quite well although I have to mention I am using a mixing ball inside my shaker and after 4-5 shakes the powder is completely dissolved. It mixes well both in water and milk but purely taste wise it tastes much better with milk.It has quite a bit of sweetness to it but going by what lists of ingredients says, it is a sweetener so I'm not worried about the calories.I drink it quite quickly and although I drink it relatively fast it doesn't bloat me or cause any unpleasant side effects.I don't feel particularly energized after consuming it and I don't really expect to either, so I just consume it and let it work its magic in regards to rebuilding muscle. It comes with a scoop so it is easy to take out the necessary quantity.I like the product which comes from a renowned brand so everything is good so far.

Premium brand at premium price
I thought I would try Optimum Nutrition as they are supposed to be a premium brand, though one I have not used before.I was impressed by the dissolving of the powder in water leaving no lumps at all. Likewise the taste was pretty good and not gritty like some can be.I was expecting it to be sweeter as it was chocolate, but it was fine. I expect everyone has their own levels and I don't like really sweet stuff, but this was fine.So quality and taste wise I am pretty impressed, but not impressed by the price at £30 for 15 servings, hence the 1 star reduction.

Clean, Tasty, and Easy on the Stomach
The flavor is really smooth and not overly sweet, which I appreciate. It mixes super easily in just a shaker with water—no clumps or weird textures, which has been an issue with other powders I’ve tried before. What I like most is how light it feels after drinking it. Some proteins leave me feeling heavy or bloated, but this one goes down easily and digests fast. It’s great knowing I’m getting a clean hit of protein without all the extra sugars and fats—especially when I’m trying to stay lean. I’ve also noticed less soreness the next day, which might be thanks to the added BCAAs.The 450g tub gives about 15 servings, which isn’t a ton, but it’s perfect for short-term use or travel. I’ll definitely keep a bigger tub at home and use this one for gym bag convenience. It’s solid quality and hasn’t let me down.

Tasty but pricey
Most people know that Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is just that, the gold standard for protein in trusted quality and great taste and this one is no exception. The flavour is amazing, mixes really easily and feels very nutritious.I just can't get past the price, it was £30 for 450g when ordered, dropped to £24 now but that seems such a lot for a small quantity, hence only 4 stars
