Traditional flavor, aroma, quality
I’ve bought a number of Kevaia products snd feel quite solid about this brand. I’m sensitive to smells, of all kinds, and understand food processing from traditional methods to modern chemical extraction, which I won’t buy or use or eat.The aroma is earthy, rich, it’s not over roasted and burned like many brands, and the flavor is clean. There aren’t any chemical smells or tastes, and I do a lot of Asian dishes and deep frying - even a few drops on a rich dashi broth is like a magical sweet spot. After deep frying, once cooled I strain and recycle, adding an umeboshi (Japanese pickled plum) as an alkaline and it doesn’t go off or rancid …. I appreciate that it’s high quality and in a gallon. Given the distribution channel and the fact that here in the US, we don’t really produce our own cooking oil short of foaming corn oil that’s glyphosate laden, or canola maybe, which shoujd never be used except for your garden tools, or almond from California whose beautiful orchards can not sustain the extended drought, fires, and high water volume dependence, I’d say, guve ut a try.If you’re new to roasted sesame oil, try it in stir fry, roasted vegetables, salad dressings with lots of scallions/garlic, and for a predominantly plant based diet, it’s an excellent source of calcium but also vegan oil/fat.I add just a bit to soup broths. It makes the much richer with deeper flavor. If you don’t put too much, you don’t really taste it, but get to experience the feeling if taking in nourishing fats thst our bodies crave and need. For spa days, it’s great for the hair and scalp. I massage it in The night before I’m going to wash my waste length hair, massage it into my skin (and face) and it legit gives a certain glow. The price and quality plus the dependable quality of kevaia products has made me brand loyal.

Great Flavor
I love the flavor and I mix it 50/50 with olive oil for sauteing vegetables, baking chicken breasts, and frying eggs. A great alternative to butter.

Open Sesame
Helps create authentic Asian style vegetable dishes. Best not to go overboard with it, but this was great in my fried rice recipe.

A good buy
This is a good buy, if you enjoy toasted sesame oil as I do! It's a healthy oil....and I use it for cooking, making salad dressings, actually anywhere oil is needed. Yum.

Good stuff!
I have been trying to make more sensible food decisions and expanding the usual flavor profiles I work with. This is perfect for that. I have had both good and bad sesame oils in the past and this would easily fall into the 'good' category. In my opinion, toasted is the way to go with a sesame oil. The fact it is organic is a big plus (I didn't used to think it made a difference but it does, don't risk your health over trying to save a few bucks). It adds a good, almost irresistible flavor to meat or vegetable dishes. It is great on ramen (it really brings it up a notch in flavor, if you eat ramen definitely try it), in stir fry, as part of a meat marinade, or anywhere you want to add a bit of savoriness. Remember though, a little goes a long way, that is not an exaggeration. If you just pour this into something you will likely ruin it, start with a half teaspoon and work your way up. You can always add more but once too much is there you are in a mess.I notice they offer a half-gallon and gallon size on Amazon and it is good enough that I am seriously considering the 64oz jug.I always appreciate getting feedback or seeing that people found my review helpful. Thanks for reading.

Well worth it
This is luxurious. I've used toasted sesame oil for a long time, sometimes using it with Lee Kum Kee's hoisin sauce or even in lentils. Having had a falling out with milk, butter and the dry taste of almond, I've started using a little bit with oatmeal or millet, which can end up too dry but works out fine with this. But this is a step above. It's thicker but not too dense, and the flavor is perfect, as if they finally did it the right way from thousands of years ago. There's plenty of it with a little pour spout you can knock out from the top or cut through the bottom, your choice.Nothing in my area comes close in quality or price, and a couple are pretty good. This is just better. I'll definitely be buying it again, and just for the luxury if not for the vitamin K.
