ULANZI O-Lock Handle Grip for Smartphones, Black, 126g, Compatible with O-LOCK, Tabletop Mount

This handle grip works exclusively with the Ulanzi iPhone case that features O-Lock.It does include a detachable, bluetooth remote that works with iPhone. The remote triggers the camera capture.The grip does have a cold shoe for a flash. The cold shoe is at the top of the pistol grip. This placement is sometimes problematic.The grib may be used as a sort of makeshift tripod in that you can stand it on the side of the pistol grip. The phone may then be rotated to portrait or landscape. However, if you are using a flash, you will have to find some method of mounting the flash because if the handle is on it's side, then the flash cannot be in the cold shoe mount.O-Lock does provide a captured locking mechanism that assured us that our phone cannot detach its mount.O-Lock allows the phone case to rotate on the O-Lock mount. But the tiny detents in the O-Lock rotating ring are insufficient. In my testing, my phone gets tilted on the O-Lock mount often. Worse, if I add any extra lenses to the iPhone case, the slight extra weight causes the phone to tilt on the O-Mount.Ulanzi also makes a heel grip for their O-Lock phone cases. The heel grip is much smaller and lighter. It offers most of the benefits of this handle grip and none of the drawbacks. It's a better choice.The handle grip was interesting. I wanted to like it. I own it and I tell myself to keep it around... but I know I'll never use it again. It's clutter. The heel grip is the better solution, in my opinion.i hope this review helps.
